SUMMARY: since eridan spent the entirety of halloween wweepin and eating stale sugar cookies in his basement leah, he and zee throw a belated halloween party!! BAD THINGS HAPPEN.

[the house - it's more of a miniature mansion, really, and incredibly creepy - is just far enough from the city's limits to be quiet. sprawling, dark, and eerie; it's kind of like a cross between rose red and dracula's summer home, which is at least half of the reason why it was chosen. maybe two-thirds.

inside the decorations are done up in lush reds and the occasional streaks of violet; the kitchen is full of food and refreshments, the main hall is decked out, the music is pumping, and the hosts will no doubt be more than happy to tell everyone all about how they heard a rumor from a friend of a cousin of the realtor that like a quintuple murder totally happened in the attic or something (or one of them will, at least). rooms beyond the immediate party area (a host of ground level rooms and anything upstairs, basically) haven't exactly been blocked off, but they're also visibly not as touched up and may or may not be haunted.

well, there's a definite risk. the place is creepy as hell.

Why would I do that? [they taste just fine raw....]

I hardly think you'd want to catch some sort of Earth disease! Which isn't even to mention that I have been very diligent to provide healthy, nutritious, and above all safe meals every day! There's little need to scavenge from an unfulfilling quarry.

Your food's fine, but it's just not as satisfying eating something that you didn't catch yourself. And I'm purretty sure that I won't get sick! Efurything on Earth seems to be a lot more watered down than the stuff we're used to.

Well, you have no assurance that we won't encounter some affliction that will only have a worse affect on us due to lack of exposure to it previously.

We haven't necessarily displayed any special immunities yet.

Then wouldn't it be better fur me to keep eating them? We won't be resistant to anything if we keep avoiding it.

I'm pretty sure that probably isn't how it works. And it assumes you would survive the initial affliction, which I'd really rather we didn't test.

But what am I supposed to do if I can't eat them? I can't waste the meat. [she doesn't do wasteful hunting that's mean :C]

Just as I said, cook it first. Or let me cook it for you.

I take care of myself just fine! I haven't gotten hurt once since coming here.

Yet. It's hardly been two weeks so far, and that isn't an accurate gauge of how things will go from here on a long term basis.

No, but it's a good start! And I'm not going to worry about things that haven't gone badly fur me yet.

[ she wishes she was cool enough and considerate enough to actually say it was the latter, but the truth is that she's just moody and overbearing.

How about a compurrmise? I can catch dinner fur efuryone a couple times a week and you can cook it up.

I somehow doubt that any of us will really want to eat squirrel.
