you have a way of moving me
WHO: ELECTRO, MAX GIBSON, and APRIL LUDGATE
WHERE: Outside/around City Hall ➟ maybe April & Max's place? WE'LL SEE.
WHEN: Thursday afternoon/evening let's say.
WARNINGS: Massive amounts of awkward.
SUMMARY: The boyfriend meets the roommate. They are both named Max.
FORMAT: Whatever!
Adjusting to the whole thing took was taking him a little while, but one good thing about Electro's age was that he had enough experience with relationships -- however short-lived most of them had been -- to remember what differently to do than with more casual affairs. April so far hadn't been exactly high-maintenance, so that helped matters some. Still, waiting around outside City Hall for her to get off work some days still felt weird and unsettling to him, in part because he was so out of routine of having someone to wait for and in part because usually when he was at City Hall, he was smashing things or shorting them out.
But then, it wasn't as if he'd hadn't gotten used to playing nicer lately anyway. At least he was getting good use out of his new motorcycle.

She'll be late, there's something with the raccoons and martinis going on. Not clear on the details. [ It was just the polite thing to do. ]
no subject
Er-- I mean, right. Naturally. Had I known I'd be waiting I'd have at least brought some coffee.
no subject
Are you giving her a ride home?
no subject
That was the plan. Assuming she doesn't take hours in there.
[ He's still a little scowly. ]
You two live together, right?
no subject
[ She kind of settles into her stance, as if to make it clear she's not really going anywhere. ]
We do, yeah. You guys are dating?
no subject
I'll just wait. [ For now. His foot nudges the bike again uncomfortably, his brows furrowing slightly. ] Yeah. I guess we are.
no subject
[ And oh goodie because while she may not have questions about protecting April's honor she is kind of wondering why she's dating that guy who blew out City Hall's fuses. ] How'd that even happen? I thought you didn't like City Hall
no subject
If you want. I don't got anywhere to be right away. [ Or at all. He puts his hands back in his pockets, trying not to feel self-conscious. ] And I don't. But it's not like she's the Mayor or something, she doesn't do anything significant.
[ He doesn't... mean that in the way it sounds, necessarily. Politically significant!! ]
no subject
What every girl loves to hear, totally.
no subject
You know what I mean. She's not what I got a problem with up there.
no subject
Yeah, I know what you mean. Does that mean our electricity's safe for a little while at least?
no subject
Yeah. Well, a statement's not as powerful the second time around anyway.
no subject
[ Watching a little consideringly. ] How'd you guys even meet?
no subject
[ Another smirk; he shrugs mildly, thinking about it. ]
It just sort of happened, I don't know. We're still kind of messing around.
no subject
Well, I think traditional well wishes are like, I hope you make her very happy, but this is April.
no subject
[ Welp. Charming fellow. ]
You don't need a ride too, do you?
no subject
You don't.
And April says she'll be about an hour and to wait for her at the house, so if you don't mind that would be great.
no subject
Sure, I can go. What's there to mind? She has raccoon business to attend to.
no subject
Yeah, of course. [ She'll just - get on behind him on the motorcycle, then, right. ] Thanks.
no subject
[ Er. Yes, this is slightly awkward. But not devastatingly so (for him, at least). ]
Just hold on, this thing goes pretty fast.
[ Because he can supe it up with his powers. 8| ]
no subject
I can handle fast. I like it, actually.
[ The faster the better, really. ]
no subject
[ He smirks; sorry, Max, he doesn't have a helmet for you or anything but he's a decent driver. And they're off! ]
What do you do at City Hall anyway?
no subject
I work on import native relations! Try to keep them liking us.
no subject
How's that working for you?
no subject
[ This long pause, because there is literally nothing she can say here that isn't either a really really obvious lie or not so great. ]
Kind of shitty!
