all the boys who the dance floor didn't love

WHO: General Nill, General Damian, & everybody who signed up or just wants to come.
WHERE: Central Park.
WHEN: 7 December, 10 AM - sometime Saturday or Sunday.
WARNINGS: WHO KNOWS.
SUMMARY: Damian told Nill she wasn't prepared for war, and she's determined to show him differently.
FORMAT: Quick to start, but do whateva you want.

[The field is huge, without cover, and blanketed in snow. To anyone passing by before ten in the morning, it looks serene and beautiful. But as soon as the clock strikes that special hour, two imports with something to prove take to the field to shake hands and wish each other the best. In what?

Snow war.

Pick your side or make your own side, take prisoners or show no mercy; this is more or less a free-for-all. Who will be victorious? Nobody has a clue. As long as Damian gets whapped in the face by at least one snowball, everything will end up just fine.

Team suggestions are just that: suggestions. If you want your character to defect, start their own team, etc. please feel free! And start any new thread headers you want, these were just some Hallie suggested. Have fun!]

Giant fields of white really aren't Jason's style, but then again neither is anything non-fatal. They don't provide the necessary cover to his kind of operation, and giving somebody the opportunity to escape is just sloppy. Even beyond Batman levels of sloppy. Still, he figured the chance to embarrass Damian in front of his little girlfriend (and Helena, too) was a little too good to pass up, and so there he was, making less than genuine attempts to be stealthy (if there was even any chance of that) in the fresh laid snow. Damian, or somebody else, would take the bait eventually.

He wondered briefly if there were any rules explicitly against body slamming somebody into a snowdrift. He couldn't remember, but then again, it probably didn't matter anyway. In another twenty minutes, people would be too soaked and too tired to care and then he'd strike, just when the runt least expected it. This would be good.

Spike had about the same mindset as Jason, pelting random people with snowballs and hiding for really no good reason. He didn't even care about this event except for its obvious tension-relieving aspects. It was just funny to watch someone's face when they were caught off guard.

He hopped down from a tree branch where he'd been perched just out of sight and lobbed a ball of the fluffy white stuff at Jason's head. Heh. He cracked himself up!

The snowball landed somewhere between Jason's left temple and eye. It was startling enough to bring him out of his deep concentration and force a stark laugh after a second or two of realization. It was ironic, funny even, because he'd been so focused on Damian that he'd expected attacks below the knee, completely discounting the idea that someone else could be in it just to make random chaos.

"Good one, stranger." He called, searching the white for a figure before finally noticing Spike below the tree. Jason dived around a rather feeble, leafless looking bush, slamming together a quick snowball of his own before hurling it back in retaliation. "Got a name so we can make this a proper duel?"

"Spike," he huffed out as he dodged Jason's attack, narrowly escaping some major snowage. He threw one, two, three balls in quick succession, trying not to stop moving lest he be caught up to. He had a feeling this guy was just in it for the blood like he was; it made it interesting.

"Your mother give you that name?" Now that he was actively watching for them, Spike's snowballs just barely missed Jason as dodged, one of them catching the hem of his heavy jacket and breaking up with a wet sound that echoed a little in the clearing. With a rehearsed lack of thought, he retaliated, hefting a few snowballs back in his adversary's general direction from behind his minimal cover. "Actually, I don't know if you assuming it is any better, to be honest."

"Oy, don't talk about my mum." He was breathing hard now, despite not needing to, the cold air filling up his long-dead lungs. It felt good, in an odd sort of way. Spike zig-zagged closer to the other man's shelter as he came out from behind his tree, firing snowballs as he went, some barely even aimed. And despite his best efforts, one of Jason's attacks met him dead in the chest, blowing the wind out of him for a minute. "Show a little respect... for the dead."

"And... Bob's your uncle!" Jason called upon impact, taking the moment to enjoy his (albeit pretty minor) victory. It occurred to him momentarily that if the mom comment got a rise, maybe the Briticism was a little much, but what the fuck ever. It was a snow war and they were clearly on opposing sides, if they even had sides at all. Another of Spike's attacks grazed his shoulder and then his ear, and Jason scowled, narrowing his eyes and flinging not another tightly pressed snowball, but rather just a hand full of loose, soggy-fresh snow in the general direction of his assailant. "Funny, I could say the same thing to you."
