It's been way too long since they had a real girl's day out together, and while Angie couldn't exactly ditch her duties at the school to spend the entire day cruising the shops with Felicia, it was totally in her power to cut out after lunch and get a good head start on her pre-Valentine's Day shopping. She had to find something perfect to wear for her date with Pietro that night, and no doubt Felicia needed something for the occasion as well, whether she had plans with Edward or not.

And so there they were, 5th Avenue, with all the high end shops tempting the pair of them to browse and select ridiculously expensive outfits to impress their significant others. It was cold outside, the sky turning grey in the midday, hinting that just maybe the afternoon would bring snow.

Just the excuse they needed to go inside and warm up.

[Angelica hesitates, watching Felicia try on the bracelet. She doesn't say anything for a moment or two before she plucks up the first bracelet to try on herself.]

It does have a nice sparkle to it, doesn't it?

[ Felicia's back by her side, checking it out with her. ]

It really does. I could get used to wearing this.

[She looks it over, then turns her eyes to Felicia.]

Do you have a credit card? [ She puts a hand on Angie's back, smirking her trademark smirk. ] You really deserve to walk out with that today. After all you put up with.

Well, I-I... yes. [She mentally weighs her options here. How mad could Pietro get, anyways?] He really doesn't pay too close attention to our finances. And technically, most of our money was left to me by Emma... And she never would have left it to him.

[ Felicia is the worst enabler. She taks Angie's hand in her own to hold it up, letting the bracelet catch the light. ]

What would she say, do you think?

Something about diamonds being a girl's best friend, no doubt.

[Bracelet still on, she begins to unzip her purse.]

I could wear it when we go out to dinner, and if he asks, I'll tell him he bought it for me.

[Now she's thinking, right?]

Perfect. Spares him the last second panic when realizes he forgot, too. The real gift, if you ask me.

[ She tilts her head, turning the bracelet she'd picked out over in her hand thoughtfully. ]

[Angelica's mouth forms a happy 'oh' as she stares at the bracelet.]

How pretty!

[ She smiles. ]

I thought so.

[ She tries it on again. ]

What's the final verdict on yours?

[She gives the bracelet on her wrist one last longing glance.]

I'll take it!

[ Felicia beams victoriously. ]

Smart choice. Anyone who'd decline their wife's right to diamonds warrants some scrutiny, if you ask me.

It's necessary for my continued happiness. And after all I put up with, I deserve something nice. [She gives a nod of agreement, waving over a store clerk to assist with the purchase.]

Maybe next we'll get you a nice sweater to go with it.

[ She pats Angelica's shoulder, stepping back so the clerk can do their thing. ]

I happen to look great in yellow.

[She nods enthusiastically.]

And it's late in the season, so I bet cashmere is marked down a bit.

I can go ahead and pick something nice out for you while you pay, if you want. Shoppers get vicious when the prices go down.

Would you? [She smiles sweetly, girlishly.] Thanks, Leasha! What would I do without you?

You wouldn't have the nice rocks you do now.

[ She smiles and bounces off ahead. Still with the bracelet... ahem. Anyway, she'll be in the next boutique waiting, admiring some very nice sweaters. ]

[As soon as Angie is finished paying, she wanders over to the boutique to join Felicia.]

[ Felicia's browsing still, though she has a sweater slung over her arm. She holds it out. ]

I thought subtle might be a good place to start.

[She reaches out to touch the sweater.]
