[Jessica is still in mourning for Jason being in jail, but she's handling it like a champ. She's dolled herself up in her sassiest party dress and curled her hair perfectly in anticipation for this outing with The Flash. If her boyfriend is going to be in prison for the foreseeable future, she may as well amuse herself a bit. After all, Jason was the one who encouraged her to go ahead with this date.

Anyways, she's inside Jason's apartment waiting for her date to pick her up, pretending it isn't all that weird, hanging out in one boy's place while waiting for another. Oh well. It's a distraction, and she direly needs one tonight.]

Hey, we got a few minutes between being seated and having our order taken. It's not Central but I can show you where it's supposed to be.

[She looks both astonished and intrigued.]

Just as soon as they bring us our drinks.

[ Which will apparently be soon, because his face brightens as the hostess waves them over. ]

Ooh! Looks like our table is ready!

[She claps her hands eagerly and falls in line behind the hostess.]

This is gonna be awesome. [ Wally follows the hostess to their table, ranting as he goes. ]

I can show you the mall, and the city hall that isn't Central City Hall, maybe even the monument rocks!

[She slides delicately into her chair, taking a menu from the hostess.]

Isn't Kansas cold this time of year? Maybe I should have worn a thicker jacket.

[ He grins at her while the waitress leaves to get them water. ]

[ He grins even wider. It's also lucky the waitress is coming back with their waters to take their drink orders. He was getting impatient. He orders a coke. ]

So how'd you get to be so super anyways?

Great story. [ Which is a signal that he has temporarily forgotten their plan in the excitement of getting to talk about himself. ] So I'm working in the lab after hours, waiting for a test to finish developing and putting some chemicals away, and outside there's this storm raging. So while I'm standing in front of the open cabinet lighting strikes through the window, hits me, topples the cabinet, and the next thing I know I'm in a bio-hazardous bath not sure how I'm alive. The next morning I step out the door and find myself in the next state.

Jeez, that sounds terrifying and awesome. [But she looks excited!] Wait, are you a scientist? Does that mean you're really smart and stuff?

Well, yeah. I guess you could say that. [ Appreciation for his intelligence? Something he's not used to. ] I made the costume myself, it's a special polymer I fixed up in the lab.
