[Well that was embarrassing! Kenzi had, for a moment, forgot where she was and thought she was calling Bo. Instead she got Gil, talk about rude wake up to reality. She hung up quickly because she didn't want to explain she called because she thought she was calling Bo. God, she missed her best friend. Admitting it to people just made it hurt more.

At least that's over now, right? She won't have to explain anything.

She flops down on the couch with some chips and starts flipping through the channels. She just wants to find something boring to watch and fall asleep now.]

Hale? [ All these people she mentions, but he has no idea who they are. ]

He's a siren that works on the police force with Dyson. He's cool and has the absolute best cure for a hangover. [She smiles as she talks about Hale but it fades quickly enough.]

He comes from one of the influential Fae families. Like one of the original houses or something.

Fae like tradition and a lot of the families stick to the old ways. Meaning they don't like humans for anything other than food or pets. But Hale isn't like that.

Lauren blabbered on about Fae being an evolutionary branch that predate mankind. So uh, no one knows.

Oh... science? That's beyond me.

Welcome to my world. Lauren is full of it! It's like she can't talk to someone like a normal person it has to be all science nonsense. And yet Bo wets herself over it. It's gross.

She's also the worst doctor ever. Who the hell brings a medical kit but doesn't have anything that can actually save a life in it?

No, seriously. She didn't even bring anything to make a splint for Vex's arm. Granted Vex is an ass so him going without it is fine. But I was bleeding to death and all she could do was hold some gauze on the wound and hope the bleeding stopped because she couldn't be arsed to put anything worth while in her medical kit!

She's lucky Hale was there otherwise I would have found a way to haunt her. [She gives a huff. Never mind the fact that it was Lauren's idea for Hale to use his whistle on a high enough frequency to cauterize the wound to begin with.]

[ He shakes his head while waving his hands. ]

I don't know who these people are...

But when you're bleeding, you're supposed to hold gauze to the wound. You can't just move a bleeding person so easily!

Gil, even the gauze wasn't doing anything for me. The bleeding wouldn't stop. I was pretty sure I was going to die.

[ He pauses. ]

Hale was able to seal up the wound with his whistle. We got Bo, everyone else, went back to the Dál and then I ended up back here.

[invoking]

What do you mean by his "whistle"? [ He doesn't understand half these words.

And again, he pauses as something else comes to mind. ]

The Porter brought you back immediately after? Were you alright?

[wisecracked]

Apparently rather than sing, sirens produce whistles that can do a lot of stuff. Pretty sure they can blow up your head if they whistle at the right pitch.

[She nods.] Yeah, I ended up getting Jules to get me.

The Porter honestly has the worst timing.

She does it on purpose I'm sure. Watch the next time I go home I'll come back with broken ribs or something.

When I was brought back here... I wasn't brought into the City. I was in another country. New Zealand. [ Two days. :| ]
