Come on, love me for the money
WHO: The Job Fair and You!
WHERE: A small park near City Hall
WHEN: Today
WARNINGS: Capitalism?
SUMMARY: It's the job fair. Come one, come all.
FORMAT: Para to start then whatever
It's the most wonderful time of the year. The sun is shining, the mosquitoes are biting, and it's time to think about what the hell you're doing to do with your life now that the summer is winding down. Which is probably why you've ended up at the City Hall sponsored First Semi-Annual Job Fair Spectacular.
The small park has been pretty much taken over by this event. Tables for each company/group that signed up are in rows with either a representative to speak with or a held down stack of promotional materials for any interested parties to pick up. Good luck, job hunters.
[[ooc: Each group that signed up in the OOC post will get a thread below. Even if there are only fliers there, feel free to leave a comment to let the player who runs the company know yours is interested. People manning booth, just start a thread under your group's heading with a description of what's up. Feel free to bump into people and just generally interact as well. If you have a group you'd like to add that you didn't sign up on the ooc post, feel free to add them! April did literally no vetting. Everyone is welcome.]]

[The phone gets thrown down in outraged despair. How could this happen to her. It had been so close to being a good month- outside of all the terrible parts. She frowns up at the boss, ignoring that last part. Praise wasn't...really a thing she dealt with. At all.]
So. You're back.

I never actually left, you know. Come on, it hasn't been that bad, has it?

There are people here. That want to talk to me. This is a nightmare.
no subject
Shit, I think you chose the wrong line of work if you don't want to talk to people. They're not that bad most of the time.

[The last few lines may have had a fake Scarlett O'Hara accent thrown on there. Just a little.]
no subject
Come on, it's not that bad. Sure, sometimes it is, but this is a good thing to be doing! You're helping people find work and promoting import businesses.

[Sorry Mitch. Hope you weren't too attached to that small spark of pride.]

[ He doesn't realize that not everyone thinks about how much they can help in government, or at least, he chooses to ignore that fact. ]
no subject
[Seriously, Mitch you are killing her. Emphasized by her slinking even further into the seat in the face of all this...this positiveness.]
no subject
[ He hardens it up, since apparently positive reinforcement is not a thing with her. Go figure. He just rolls his eyes, anyway, like it would be obvious to even the most unmotivated of government employees.
Loss of paycheck. ]
no subject
[Ah. Much better. Really, the only reason this happened was because of the punishment, anyway. Not like she actually did good.]
no subject
[ He threw his hands in the air, eyes rolling expressively. ]
no subject
[And the world returns to normal, all are at peace.]

[Now if only her phone was working :c]

If I get evicted from office, what makes you think you'd still have a job, huh?
[ Mitchell Hundred could go for the kill shot, every now and then. ]
no subject
[Still. Her shoulders sag as she accepts the terrible fate before her. A day of helping, with no funny tweets at the end.]
no subject
It's just a sad, shitty thing, promise.
[ But he could see the will go out of her. He felt bad, but this was better for her. ]

It might surprise you to know that I work so hard because I know what it's like to go without.

Well, not until I was a superhero. That's another story.

[Mitch. You get a once-over here]
This whole thing has just brought us so close together.
