Come on, love me for the money
WHO: The Job Fair and You!
WHERE: A small park near City Hall
WHEN: Today
WARNINGS: Capitalism?
SUMMARY: It's the job fair. Come one, come all.
FORMAT: Para to start then whatever
It's the most wonderful time of the year. The sun is shining, the mosquitoes are biting, and it's time to think about what the hell you're doing to do with your life now that the summer is winding down. Which is probably why you've ended up at the City Hall sponsored First Semi-Annual Job Fair Spectacular.
The small park has been pretty much taken over by this event. Tables for each company/group that signed up are in rows with either a representative to speak with or a held down stack of promotional materials for any interested parties to pick up. Good luck, job hunters.
[[ooc: Each group that signed up in the OOC post will get a thread below. Even if there are only fliers there, feel free to leave a comment to let the player who runs the company know yours is interested. People manning booth, just start a thread under your group's heading with a description of what's up. Feel free to bump into people and just generally interact as well. If you have a group you'd like to add that you didn't sign up on the ooc post, feel free to add them! April did literally no vetting. Everyone is welcome.]]

Look at it. It's crawling with community. I'm gonna need a million showers after this.

Ugh. Why did life have to be filled with so many hard choices?]
God, I'm sorry Mitch thought we didn't need you. I'm just. You know. The delivery girl.
[In the end, she can only hope the one with shot-term satisfaction proved to be the right one]

[But then, of course, it's her wording: I'm sorry preempts the whole sentence, rendering the rest of the facts (or lack thereof) dependent on that clause.
A pretty sharp turn of phrase, to skirt his powers accurately.]
Stop toying around.

[Now there was a resounding lie. Coupled with a barely held together straight face as the smug tries to battle its way into the light. She was going to pay for this, of course. But so what. There was a small hope they could all be dead in an hour, anyway, so then it wouldn't matter. Save for the fact April would have died with one up in this battle of pettiness and boredom.]

[His stance was one that demonstrated dominance -- mostly for show, mind, but its stubborn shout was true; Eddie was an obstinate man in most cases, but especially ones of perceived pride. He stalked over, closer to April, practically hovering over her.]
You've done this on purpose, and I know you know that I know.
[Only the next second born his regret of such an unfortunate statement. But stubborn men didn't retract cliches.]

[For all the defiance and sarcasm, having the boss- even in the midst of rather deserved comeuppance against him- hover isn't the best feeling. Or one that she can deal with without just the tiniest bit of curling in on herself in defense. Stupid reflexive reactions.]
I work hard not to know anything. It's not my fault that talent's spreading around.
