Ladies Night
WHO: She-Hulk (
shulkie_00) & Catwoman (
catmasked)
WHEN: Night of Jan 2nd
WHERE: Rock Bottom Bar downtown
SUMMARY: Drinking and probably some prying
FORMAT: Quickpara?
It wasn't a New Year's resolution persay, but Selina had been cutting back on the drinking alone. Besides, this Jen sounded like just her sort of company for a proper girl's night out.
She wasn't lying about being green either. Jen would have been easy enough to spot even if the few other patrons hadn't been giving her plenty of breathing room.
"What was that about adamantium claws?" Selina asked as she slid onto the empty stool to Jen's left.

The stares were almost fun. The patrons found the most mundane things fascinated any time she caught them looking.
Jen shrugged when the newcomer asked the question, thereby identifying herself as Selina. "I've worked and trained with Wolverine."

[ooc: Oops, I misunderstood about her being stuck in Hulk mode... sorry for the godmod >.>;;]

Jen snerked into her beer at the interesting comment. "Oh, yeah. He's interesting, in that short man with an insanely disproportionate attitude kind of way. Kinda cute though."

She nodded as she took another draft of her beer. "Right. Generally speaking, it's not a mutant team. It's mostly made of people like myself, who came upon their powers through external events: gamma radiation, super soldier serum, et cetera. There have been a few mutants, like Wolverine, and a few who are just highly trained, sans any superhuman abilities at all."

She drank more of her scotch as she listened to Jen's list. "Throw in aliens and it sounds a lot like the big team back home. They call themselves the Justice League." She smirked, toying with her glass. "It's like heroes have some sort of compulsion to organize, no matter what world they're on."

Okay, Jen giggled at that. "Actually, we have aliens." The mirth faded quickly, however, as memory caught up fully. "Had, rather. This isn't the safest business. I guess that's why we organize. It's good to have someone to watch your back as well as an assortment of powers and skills. Doesn't hurt to have people to relate to and a stipend for what amounts to one of the hardest jobs in the world."

Talk of heroes encouraged Selina to knock back the rest of her scotch. "Can't say I have all that much experience. I've never been much of a team player. And pretty good at watching my own back." She pushed her empty glass towards the bartender to get his attention.

"it's not that I mind most of it, I just wish it wouldn't all happen at once. All the time."

Not that trouble had ever had a problem finding her whether she was looking or not. Details.
