DISCO MEETS APOCALYPSE BABY
WHO:
idateforsupper and
jonocalypse
WHERE: Idk a street somewhere.
WHEN: THIS VERY EVENING~
WARNINGS: Well Jono's kind of a bitch
SUMMARY: Alison runs into Jono after a show. Cue an awesome meet up.
FORMAT: QUICKLOG
[Alison steps out the back door of the club, pulling off her wig and shoving it into her bag. She straightened her shoulder length hair before taking another step forward. It's a nice night out, but she knew to expect trouble of any sort. Giving a shrug, she starts walking onto the street. She's still dressed in her disco costume, but like that mattered. It was just another night with another solo gig, nothing special.]

[Her eyes widen, yeah she can relate. Alison has been used like that a couple times in her life.]
"That always tends to happen to a handful of us mutants."
no subject
[He hasn't run with X-people in ages.]
"Some more than others. Hopefully being here means a change in luck, though."
[If there's an alternate Apocalypse somewhere hereabouts, Jono might just need to break things.]
no subject
[Not an alternate Apocalypse, just one of his horseman~]
"I hope so. But then there's that Hodge guy and he doesn't help us any."
no subject
[Jono shrugs. X-men history at Mass. Academy had been equal parts confusing and just plain weird.]
"Yeah, whatever became of him? I'd been warned away from him when I first got here, but then he up and disappeared."
[He'd missed Hodge's re-introduction on account of work.]
no subject
"He died, then he came back. I guess that's a regular thing in this city!"
[She sighs. That guy harrasses Warren on constant, but she's not allowed to do anything. She promised.]
"I never got to meet him back home, but I've been warned of him too."
[Probably more warnings than most people.]
no subject
[This whole dying-and-coming-back-to-life lark is still a little surreal to Jono. It catches him off-guard because he doesn't like to think about it.]
"Probably a good thing you never met up; he sounds like a right nasty piece of work. He's on the wanted list back at the station."
[At least, Jono's pretty sure he saw the name there. He makes a note to pencil it in once he gets back, if it isn't.]
"All I've heard is that he runs some sort of business making hate propaganda against mutants."
no subject
[She hates that he has to be a part of that mess. Like Warren doesn't have enough problems.]
"He's done more than that, Jono. He tortures and kills mutant kids. I think he even did it once here---to this girl, Layla."
no subject
[The mention of Worthington - especially from an attractive, blonde woman - irritates Jono. Old grudges die hard. He's mostly irritated at the fact that he's even bothered by it, as Jono'd thought he was well over that.]
"Bastard."
[He says it with feeling. He might not like Layla, but he's talked with her. She's just a kid.]
no subject
[She doesn't even know he's irritated, so she keeps on going.]
"I'll say. Talk about a slimeball."
[Layla's what, thirteen? Poor girl.]
no subject
[He'll deal; he's more caught up in outrage over Hodge, now.]
"And I'm betting there's no real reason to it."
[That comes out pretty grim, but he's dealt with child torturers before, back when he wasn't much older than the kids being experimented on.]
no subject
[Like from being beheaded and dumped into the ocean.]
"Just hate."
[It's a simple answer, but a true one.]
no subject
[Not exactly true, but Hodge was up to no good when Jono was still trying to deal with the fact that there was a small nuclear reactor in his throat. He'd had other things on his mind.]
"Yeah."
[He remembers the Warden. He hadn't been sorry to see him die.]
no subject
[She gives a slight shrug. She doesn't know the details of that day and she has not asked Warren. She knows how much talking about Hodge bothers him.]
"You'd have to ask Angel about it, really."
no subject
[Eternity in a box underground, but still alive to see it. Jono was torn between revulsion at the thought and satisfaction that it was what the man deserved.]
"I'm not that curious for details, luv."
[Not if it meant having a civil convesation with Warren. Although he'd already done once or twice, but Jono chalked that up to the man being thrown off by the City, and by his face. Surely the smug superiority was just waiting to come out the next time he talked to the git.]
kdfhkgk late tag
"Mhmm. Yeah, I don't really blame you."
[She didn't really like talking about Hodge either. That guy just reminded her way too much of Mojo. So, she looked for a topic change.]
"What sort of music do you like, fella?]
[Because Ali liked pretty much everything."
No worries, I'm a bit behind myself :P
"Mostly rock. I liked the harder stuff when I was younger, went with the whole..."
[Ali didn't know him back then, whoops. Oh well.]
"Anyhow, mostly rock and roll. I used to play guitar."
no subject
[Yeah, you have her attention. Alison loves all music forever, pretty much. Sound is one type of fuel, but music? Oh, she adores it.]
no subject
[Bland, but it sounds better than 'it's probably rotting at the Xavier Institute since before the whole Weapon X undercover fiasco']
no subject
[Music was important. Music was life.]
no subject
[He'd actually seen the one he wanted in a music store downtown, on his route to the station.]
"It'll be a few paycheques before then, and I'm probably nowhere near as good as I used to be."
no subject
[Alison never met musicians enough. Not ones in the same, well, field as her anyways. There was Lila back home, but she'd disappeared, then there was Courtney Gears in the city, but Alison didn't like her so she didn't count.]
"And we'll see just how good you are!"
no subject
[Despite the warning, Jono's pleased. Nobody ever used to take him seriously as a musician, though he'd gotten quite good over the years of practice. Probably because he hadn't been able to sing along with.]
"But it's a deal."
no subject
[Alison looked to the right and jerked her hand.]
"Well, my place is just over there. I should probably head home."
[And change out of this silly outfit!]
no subject
[Jono stops a moment.]
"Nice talking with you, Ali."
[And he means it, funnily enough. He'd never thought he'd ever be able to say more than two words to her; perhaps they had more in common than he'd given her credit for.]
no subject
[She gives him a bright smile before she heads towards her apartment. What a cute kid.]
sdflkjasl cute XD
