SUMMARY: The 'Waves have been avoiding each other because of what happened during the Desire event. They finally talk about it. It's kinda like that one episode of A Single Potato.
FORMAT: Whatever the bossy person says.

[It's been a few days. A few days since they've actually spoken. Soundwave has been avoiding him, he knows. But. He's been doing the same thing really - as illogical as it is. He knows this has to be taken care of, and the sooner it was, the better. This could not be allowed to interfere with work. Hn. Desire. Troublesome.]

[Quietly he makes his way into Dancitron, the scientist could not say he was looking forward to this little chat.]

[He nods quietly and stands up, heading into the closed cafe. He shifts the cub in his arms again as he heads inside, setting her back down in order to fix the tea.]

ACKNOWLEDGED.

[He chooses chai spice. Take that. In the meanwhile, he warms up some milk for the cub.]

SIT.

[Will take it and will like it. Sits.]

[Eventually brings tea. Soundwave sits again and calls for the cub. She climbs obediently into his lap and he takes her to feed, but not before he sets the cup of tea before Shockwave.]

[Takes the tea, sips it.]

Cybertron ended up shutting down after we had utilized all the energy. With nothing left to power it or us, everything shut down entirely. After sometime I was reawakened, and proceeded to study and rebuild the planet, eventually reactivating those still in stasis.

After that it was simply manipulating things in my favor. Giving up my power, removing myself from the Decepticons, letting the Autobots' little council return to me my power, abolishing the factions, making certain that those of you on Earth were not capable of returning until the precise moment. Basic things.

[Pauses, frowning.]

YOU LEFT US ON EARTH?

The Autobots defeated you, they had planned to return to Cybertron with you all, as this would compromise my work on rebuilding Cybertron - and would also restart the war - I had to do something about it. I convinced a human into blowing up the ship during take off, so that you all were incapable of returning until the right time.

[He isn't terribly pleased with this information. Although there is SOME logic to it -- naturally, this being Shockwave and all -- he's a bit irritated. True, this isn't even his own world that he must be bothered by, but Soundwave does have some lingering issues with being stranded somewhere.]

YOU COULD NOT WARN US?

I was not able to at the time. You were Autobot prisoners, so action had to be taken. I did come to Earth to get you all sometime after you had freed yourselves from control by the humans.

[He had been busy, not to mention warning them would have alerted Megatron to things. If his plan was to work, Megatron would have to remain in the dark.]

[There is a faint frown from Soundwave. He isn't sure how to be concerned with this data.]

WHAT OCCURRED AFTER YOU CAME FOR US?

I defeated Megatron and took you all back to Cybertron.

[Takes another sip of his tea. That was basically the short form. He's trying not to monologue so that they wont be here for hours.]

[That definitely causes a stare.]

DEFINE WHY.

Megatron was no longer fit to lead. He was illogical leading the Decepticons to nothing but their own destruction. Logic had dictated his removal, and I had to act upon that. He had broken up my attempts at returning the planet to a peaceful state before, it would not be permitted to happen again. His return would have been enough cause for the war to return, so he had to be terminated.

[His own personal loyalty to Megatron causes him to glower at this data. Logic dictated his termination. Then again, Soundwave did stand by and permit Starscream to throw Megatron out of Astrotrain -- for his own survival's sake. And what Megatron became afterward had devastated the Decepticons.]

[Troublesome. What would have been the best option? His loyalty informs him that the termination of Megatron is wrong, but Megatron hasn't always made the best decisions.]

QUERY. WHAT DID THE REMAINING DECEPTICONS DO?

[Shockwave doesn't quite get it. He sees no problem with what he did. Cybertron was actually thriving with what he had done. They were going to complete their primary function, something of which Megatron had never even gotten close to completing.]

They surrendered to me an my triple changer troop.

[Soundwave maintains his passive look; the triple changers. No wonder Shockwave became so terribly excited when Blitzwing arrived.]

BLITZWING: INCLUDED?

[Obsessed with an idea. The triple changers were the successful results of that idea, superior to normal Cybertronians. He had built them that way after all.]

Mm, correct. The Blitzwing of my universe was my lieutenant and my bodyguard.

[He would not have gone without him. He did play favourites.]

QUERY: MORE COMPETENT?

[He would hope so.]
