In truth, Selina didn't really give a damn if she had a license for Ramus or not. When had she ever cared much about the legality of anything she did? But it was clear the detective wasn't going to drop it. Besides, she figured he at least deserved lunch for putting a bullet in the Joker.

She arrived a few minutes after two, "fashionably" late as per usual. Leather jacket and boots to ward off the November chill, sunglasses she took off as soon as she entered the diner, scanning the familiar booths for Lassiter.

Don't worry, Selina, there's still a few more questions left.

"Ah, right. I forgot I'm one of those weirdos that's usually in bed by then. Do you spend the night doing the hero thing or do you take care of . . . other matters?"

That took him aback a little, and he blinked owlishly at her. "Oh, I was talking about committing crime. But I suppose that could be another reason for being up at 3AM eating pancakes. You're going out with that guy with weird hair, right?"

"I didn't even know of it until that one girl went hysterical over it." Pancakes halfway done, he took a break to pick up his coffee, sipping it. "I figured it had to be yellow journalism. He seems like a crook from what we've dug up on him, and you seem to have more class than that. At least, I hope so."

He sat down his coffee to eat some more, taking large bites. He often ate in a rush, and it didn't help that this was actually really good. He would have to keep this place in mind, definitely better than his usual place he ate in this area of the City. "We had been looking into him after the whole Hulk ordeal, however . . ." He paused, rather embarrassed, swallowing the food he was talking around. "Many other predicaments came up, as you're aware. It's very frustrating. If only there were more of us . . ."

"Yes, it does. Admittedly, the other lots doing their part," he wove his fork around vaguely, some syrup splashing, "helps somewhat. But there are definitely times when they don't care about something when they should, or try to take matters in their own hands for weeks when they should just give us a call and let us take care of it right away." He gave her a pointed look, not that he truly knew if she was up to anything. It was more of a nip-it-in-the-bud sort of look. "Though, I'll have to grudgingly admit having less red tape to go through is nice."
