A housewarming, of sorts.
WHO: Jenny & Cameron (I'm at work, I'll code this later)
WHERE: Cameron's new apartment. Where all the worker bees live, or something.
WHEN: 7:01pm Sunday Night!
WARNINGS: Epically slow tags since Cait is at work.
SUMMARY: Cameron moved out! And Jenny is the only person she's close to who hasn't managed to UTTERLY ANNOY HER TODAY. Yeah today's been special, so Jenny is a welcome face.
FORMAT: Quicklog or paragraph
[ By 7:01pm Cameron is all moved in; not that she had much at the house to begin with. Even though she had been there a month, the apartment upstate had more items that were hers than her room at the house had been.
Perhaps, she considered, she had never really thought of it as home to begin with. She was satisfied with her decision, even if no one else seemed to be, except for Kyle. ]

For now she goes and gets Jenny a glass of juice, handing it to her with a small smile and then gesturing to the small couch. ]
I am, yes. This is likely something I should have done sooner. How are you?
no subject
She sits and smiles back widely as she accepts the juice.]
I'm really confused about the idea of a job but I'm healthy and fit right now. Butter than you are, I think.
no subject
[ Cameron drinks her own juice and nods, slightly. ]
I am unwell. But I am improving.
no subject
I remember Kyle. I liked him. Who's George?
no subject
I am glad you like Kyle. Kyle likes you as well, I think.
no subject
[Jenny smiles a little, clearly grateful for the suggestion.]
Except I really don't know anything about being a cashier.
no subject
[ Cameron grabs a folded paper off a nearby end table. It's got some basic math for cash handling on it. ]
I found this online.
no subject
That's basic maths, isn't it?
no subject
What do you think?
no subject
[She holds up the paper.]
This will definitely help. I think I'll go for it.
no subject
Do you want something to eat? [ No, that is not an accidental offer Jenny. ]
no subject
Okay!
no subject
Do you like soup? I have quite a lot of soup, at the moment. Chicken, also, and fruit.
no subject
I like soup. I've only tried it a couple of times.
no subject
I have clam chowder, Italian wedding and a sausage and chicken soup. Which one do you want to try?
no subject
Which do you recommend?
no subject
Do you know how to cook?
no subject
That wasn't a necessary skill to have downloaded on Messaline.
no subject
[ Cameron smiles, a little. ]
John's mother was a terrible cook.

no subject
[ Stirring soup! ]
no subject
[And she wants to make Daddy proud.]
And it wasn't home.

There is no space flight where I am from. And I don't know that I could ever run away, even just to see new things. I thought about it. But I would worry that I am risking too much.

Dad says Gallifrey is gone. But I don't know if it would be my home or if the other Time Lords would treat me like he did when I came out of the progenation machine.

[ She watches Jenny for a moment and then returns her attention to the soup. ]
You miss him.
no subject
We had just started getting along.

Lynda said he was here once before.
no subject
[ Soup's done! Time to get bowls. ]
I don't have parents, not really. I'm not sure if I would want any.

no subject
Even if it had been, it would not count.
no subject
What was it?

I was reprigrammed. Original parameters included observation and infiltration.
no subject
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Being reprogrammed?
[Without waiting for an answer-]
I don't think I'd like to be reprogrammed. I want to be able to decide for myself.
no subject
[ She smiles at Jenny, hoping to be comforting. She doesn't want her friend to worry. ]
We had no choices.
no subject
I think everyone should have a choice.
no subject
no subject
Are you happy that you were reprogrammed?
no subject
no subject
...can you tell me that?
