[OPEN]
WHO: Luke Skywalker (
inheritsthesky), Selina Kyle (
meowminx), Mytho (
lovemedangit), OPEN
WHERE: A Park.
WHEN: Today, March 6th. Afternoon.
WARNINGS: None!
SUMMARY: Luke is trying to concentrate, which means you/someone/everyone should come disrupt him as much as possible.
FORMAT: Paragraph, then either one. :3
Feeling he'd been woefully neglecting his training, Luke had decided to leave off lesson plans and work for an afternoon in favor of going out to meditate a little in the park. It wasn't a clear day, but at least the sun was out, and it shone brightly and warmly in the spot he'd chosen. Warmth--one of the few things he missed about Tatooine. Space, he'd learned when he left for the Rebellion at 19, was cold, and so was this place.
But the Force, when he touched it after quieting his mind of extraneous thoughts (Mara, the much younger Ben who didn't remember him or his father, who had disappeared from the city again), was warm too, and Luke let it fill his body in preparation for the training exercises he'd planned for today.

Since I established Star Wars was one of her faves as a kid...
Her wanderings took her to a small park. Normally, some guy sitting by himself wouldn't catch her attention. But this guy looked really familiar for some reason. So she paused, trying to place where she knew him from.
Impeccable taste I must say!
Luke opened one blue eye, then the other, looking around for the source of the sensation. His eyes met Selina's, and he smiled, lifting a hand in greeting.
It's one of the only pop culture references she's ever made in canon
"Hi," she said, unusually quiet.

"Do I know you from somewhere?"

Luke tilted his head a little. "It's nice to meet you, though." It wasn't just a polite gesture; something in Luke's body posture, in the pitch of his words, showed that he meant it. He'd always liked meeting new people. Probably a holdover from being stuck on Tatooine for the first part of his life, but most likely it was just part of his personality.

It was weird though. She'd seen there were people from different places here, but not a guy from a movie. That wasn't supposed to be real, was it?
"I'm Selina," she finally said.

Despite having a small Rue that was sure to be trying to find him when she woke from her nap, Mytho had headed for the park, loaf of day old bread from the bakery in hand. The signs of spring, the sounds of the birds, it all soothed away the Raven's Blood with in him, leaving him far more himself.
He paused, blinking as he spotted someone he knew he had met before. Someone who Ben knew.

"Hello," Luke called with a smile, stretching out his shoulders and then getting to his feet. It wouldn't hurt to take a bit of time and greet this person.

Luke gestured at the bread in the other's hand. "Were you going to go feed the birds?" he asked. "Do you mind company?"

To be fair, it innit like he ever got told anything. :D
Everyone keeps secrets from him, alas
It's not a secret, it's just something that sounds insane to most people so doesn't get spoken of :D
Luke's done insane, he can roll with insane. DID YOU KNOW VADER IS HIS FATHER? isn't that crazy?
AND DROSSELMEYER IS FAKIR'S GREAT-SOMETHING GRANDPA. WTF, MAN :DD

It was one thing to quiet himself and listen to the living Force when encouragement came from his Master's gentle presence; it was another thing entirely to attempt it when he was alone. Not even fully alone: people here claimed to know him, looked at him with sad and disbelieving eyes, carefully withheld details from him. He could sense some of them treading cautiously around him.
And he was alone, with no apparent way to get back to familiar surroundings.
It stirred an old fear in him--the fear that he would always be solitary and flailing, never quite up to the situation at hand, a hopeless case. The fear that, no matter what he did, the he would somehow fail. For years it had driven him towards increasingly brash behavior, a way of compensating or at least pretending not to care about making a good impression; now it simply sat in the pit of his stomach, twisting him into slow knots.
But at least he wasn't completely Masterless.
Finding Skywalker was an easy enough task--the man's presence gave off a light nearly as great as Master Yoda's, and was every bit as enviably serene.
Hesitantly, not quite wanting to disturb him, Obi-Wan settled in a clear patch of sunshine, folded his hands into his sleeves, and waited quietly for some sort of instruction.

But the main difference between that Ben Kenobi and this young man was that this one was fair overflowing with insecurities and doubts, enough for Luke to pull himself out of his meditation and open bright blue eyes, fixing them on Obi-Wan.
Luke still smiled though. It was good to see his friend and mentor just the same. "Hello, Obi-Wan," he said. "How are you?"

I am totally back-tagging this but WHATEVER I need Luke.
Fortunately -- or, unfortunately, take your pick -- the vampiric mutant had had his fill of marrow ever since he'd assaulted the Institute where the X-men were staying at. He felt that he could afford deviance, so long as he did nothing to stir his hunger.
When he happened upon the man in the park, he stood next to him for a time, tilting his head. He was rather deep in concentration, wasn't it?
THAT IS FINE honestly the world needs more Luke
And in the same way, he could sense that perhaps not all of this person's intentions were good. But his danger-sense didn't tingle with any more warning than normal, so Luke kept his hand off his lightsaber and instead opened his eyes to look up and meet Emplate's eyes with his own piercing blue ones. It wouldn't do either of them any good if he was suspicious of someone before he even knew them, anyway.
"Hello," he said, smiling.
yessss luke.
"May I join you?"
awww yiiiis
"I don't think we've met. I'm Luke Skywalker--it's nice to meet you."

He crossed his legs underneath him, leaning back a bit. "Do you come here often?"
