WHO: Tim and Danny
WHERE: Titans Tower
WHEN: Late-ish Tuesday I think so I can squeeze Beetle-chan in beforehand
WARNINGS: A Bat-load of angst and description of injuries.
SUMMARY: Tim got stabbed and is trying to say he's fine! Danny is back to an adult and not buying that for a second! Somebody's getting mothered here.
FORMAT: Quick log
[Tim was tired and sore, worn out more emotionally than physically, and obviously Danny had picked up on it in his voice. He should have stuck with text replies like when he first posted, but talking was a lot easier - and less prone to morphine-induced typoes.
So Danny was coming over, and soon he'd get to know just what a Bat-fine was. Tim sighs and settles himself on the couch - he still has to lay face down, which isn't going to help him cushion the true extent of his injuries - more comfortably, and waits. Danny is programmed into the Tower security by now, so he won't have to wait for Tim to let him in.]

No? How long have you guys been together?

no subject
And you're not married yet? I mean... if it's been a long engagement.
no subject
[He laughs nervously.]
no subject
[There's no need to be nervous around Tim's pure and innocent curiousity, Danny.]
no subject
[A beat.]
We broke up a lot. Well. She... broke up with me.
[He shakes his head slightly, and gives Tim another small smile. Goes back to healing.]
no subject
Ah. ... Sorry. But - you worked it all out now, right? So it... wasn't so bad?
no subject
[He stops there, preoccupied by working on healing one of the last wounds. A few minutes later, he finishes it up, and moves on to the next one.]
Anything else you want to know about me?
[He says it as a joke.]
no subject
[Tim smiles lightly, making a joke (?) of the next statement.]
Just don't ask how I know Jason is a good kisser when he's conscious.
no subject
[He starts to work on the next wound, smirking.]
Spill.
no subject
No, no way. I totally gave myself immunity, you can ask anything else.
[oh god please ask anything else.]
no subject
[A beat. And an evil smirk.]
Tell me why he's a good kisser.
no subject
Semantics. Fine. From the evidence, he's quite... aggressive and energetic, in a good way.
no subject
Hm. Interesting.
[Sighing, he scoots Tim over a bit and flops down beside him.]
All done.
no subject
Tired out? I - don't remember what it was like when you were healing Donna every day, I just have to go by the video evidence, but it did look... tiring.
[He pauses and looks absently up at the ceiling.]
And you know me and Jason aren't blood relations, right? Just - in case that came off too creepy.
no subject
[He gives Tim a tired, lopsided smile.] And no. I didn't know.
no subject
Ah, yeah, it's - complicated. And one of the reasons he keeps saying we're not family, I guess. It's just that we were all raised by the same man, at least partly over the course of our lives, so it feels... right, to consider them my family in some ways. There's no other word that fits.
no subject
I dunno. You guys seem to act like siblings to me. [A hint of jealousy there.]
no subject
I don't think most real siblings cut the other person's throat on first meeting them. [He can't help reaching up to finger the faint, thin scar on his neck for a moment.] But I guess we've been... improving, since then. It's still difficult, and if he ever catches up with the timeline like I have... I don't know.
