WHO: Lucinda Guthrie (
ahhhmahbabies), everyone
WHERE: Xavier Institute (kitchen + dining hall)
WHEN: Easter Sunday, early morning to late evening
SUMMARY: It's Easter and Lucinda holds a dinner to celebrate.
FORMAT: --
Lucinda grew up a Baptist. She married a Baptist man and they raised their children along the same vein. She took her children to Baptist services and celebrated all the major religious holidays amongst her family, even after her dearest Tommy passed away. Yet, despite being a religious woman, she was very open-minded and supported her children whether mutant or otherwise. She would continue to hold the tradition in this new world and she had a lot to be thankful for, most of which was Jay coming back from the dead.

PREPARATIONS
KITCHEN
She was taking out pots and pans. Once everything was out on the small breakfast table, she stood back, hands on her hips, and a worried look on her face.

"Hi, Mrs. Guthrie. What do you need me to do?"

"You worry to much, Mom. Everyone will help and everything will be fine," she reassured her mother, ever the optimist. "Nothing is better than one of your big dinners."

"Oy, sorry everyone," she beamed anyway, not actually sorry since nobody was hurt or anything. "So what're we making? I've never had an American Easter before. What do you usually eat?"

... IDK. maybe TLDR? Opps.
The whole concept of Easter still confused him, but he knew, it was proper manners to follow the rules of the house, so he he ducked his head as the Grace was said, listening, brain filing it away for later ponderings.
you? tl;dr? never.
if it gave him an excuse to indulge his own curiosity.Ergo, he was doing his best to blend in with the others invited, mimicking their actions while trying to draw some meaning from them. So far, all he was understanding was that this holiday had something to do with chocolate and rabbits...
...he followed Safeguard's, and the others' lead when it came to the meal.

Good food was something she never liked to pass up, even if she had a hard time getting it to her own plate and needed a bit of help.
Om nom nom.

"Hey 'Mara. You need any extra help?"

"Hey, Amara? Do you know where any of the tupperware is?" she asked, and opened random cabinets.
