OPEN
WHO: OPEN
WHERE: The Clinic
WHEN: Yesterday through the end of the week
WARNINGS: to be added
SUMMARY: Aftermath log! People are hurt, other people help them out.
FORMAT: Paragraph to start, then whatever afterwards. Remember to tag in what day your thread takes place on!
The clinic's unusually busy. There's still a steady stream of people coming in with injuries, and everyone's working like crazy. The sound of footsteps is heavy and constant, and the scent of blood is in the air more strongly than usual. Hospital beds have been moved into every avaliable space, so the hallways are crowded. To keep track of all these people, there's enough paperwork beig shuffled around to bury a small elephant, and keeping supplies in stock has been a challenge.
The front desk has a woman directing different people where they need to go. The waiting room is full, but there's a steady trickle of people moving out of it and into hospital beds. And the staff break room has a steady supply of coffee going. The clinic may be running on too little staff, too little sleep, and too many injuries, but it's definitely still running.

Front Desk
4/20 afternoon
As fate would have it, Zelgadis got that call for assistance not a block away from the establishment. He had a mind to ignore it--plenty of other people around to deal with that--but his feet trudged heavier the further he walked away. Blasted grating conscience. He wasn't doing anything useful just wandering about, was he? Dammit all.
Hood up, mask on, he enters and stands abruptly in front of the desk, staring around with feigned indifference. There was a lot to take in, though, and his ears were taking most of that. So noisy. He should just go.
Shut up, you're already here. Do something.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

"I'm responding," he said. "Someone asked for help here, so I came."

"Um, I have a little training in first aid and as a therapist, if anyone needs help coping."

"Both of those'd be pretty neat. I'm Rikki Barnes. I'm in charge here. And you are?"

"Excuse me," he said as he got close enough. "Where do I go to donate blood?"

Rikki shuffles through some papers until she finds the form and then hands it over. "You don't have to put your name on it or anything like that. It's just to make sure that blood-borne diseases don't get spread."
sorry for lateness; my brain died
4/20, late afternoon
Absently, Ryan mumbled a few lines from the stupid song about banana smoothies and took a sip of the resulting smoothie.

Looking around at the crowded lobby, Rikki cocked her head down a hallway. "Here. You wanna get out from under foot and go talk in the staffroom?"
no subject
It was true. Though he had no doubts that Rikki was smarter than Troy, he also knew her type and she'd probably keel over before she decided it was a good time to stop for five minutes and take a breather. Kelsi was like that at times. He got like that himself when he choreographed shows. It was possible that it was just a generic hero trait though, because everyone seemed to run themselves ragged.
"Thet would probably be better, unless you want me to dump a whole bunch of food in your lobby."

Staff Break Room
Staff Break Room | Once a day, 4pmish.
So he's knocking at the door, delivery of about 20 box lunches on hand. Unlike his normal deliveries, this week's boxes are all the same: sweet potato rice with cooked vegetables and chicken katsu. Easy to make and easy to make in a large batches!
Someone want to let him in?
Re: Staff Break Room | April 20th, around 4pm
"Hmm?" Realizing she'd heard knocks at the door, she got up wearily to check and see who it was that needed to be let in.
"...hello," she greeted, expression and voice making it fairly apparent that she'd just been asleep. She was starting to get bags under her eyes, too, and her complexion was a little paler than normal. After finding out about Yusuke's death, she'd thrown herself fully into healing as her method of coping. As a result, Yukina had not been sleeping much.
Staff Break Room | April 20th, around 4pm
But he put on a warm smile and said nothing. Pointing out the obvious wouldn't help and he was sure that like most people, if he suggested she go home and sleep, it would be just brushed off. It seemed to be a pretty common stubbornness with those working in the healing profession, after all.
"Hello, Yukina-chan! I brought lunches for everyone! Would you like one?"

"Oh. Hi!" Rikki said, aiming for cheerful and upbeat but sounding just a little bit manic instead.

Suzi smiled, "Hey. Do you want some pretzels to go with that soda? You look like you could use it."
