James prides himself on managing to get a date out of almost any scenario, so getting Selina over for dinner just because of an original talk of grenades is a win in his books. Even if they are just doing the 'friend' thing, which he can't say he's too worried about.

He's managed to be alone in his apartment for the evening, spending the last hour or so cleaning himself up and changing into smart casual attire, because even at home James likes to be well presented to the ladies.

And so when Selina arrives, he's ready to buzz her and open his door invitingly.

Selina raises an eyebrow at the selection. "Must be a pain to keep finding new apartments with hidden compartments," she murmured as he opened the new case.

"I use what I can get. Attics, basements, floorboards, walk-ins, en-suites. All depends," he points out, retrieving the other crate and showing the contents.

"Flashbangs. Though I've got more deadly if you need it. Anything from concussion, to anti-tank. You name it."

Selina had done similar in the past, so she she understood how it went. "I think a few stingers and a few flashbangs would work. I'll let you know if I run into any tanks in the future."

"Hm, some of these imports likely need anti-tanks to stop them. All this super strength and whatever else."

The two cases are left out, while he puts everything else back where it should be. "Take what you want of those. All of them if you really need. I don't use stingers and the flashbangs are easy to get more of."

Selina transfers about half of the flashbangs to the stinger case. She could clean him out, but she's feeling generous tonight. "Glad I could make your next move a little easier," she tells him with a hint of a grin.

There's a slight smirk in return while he clears away the last of the flashbangs, waits until they're both out of the way and then shuts the door, pushing the wardrobe back into place. "You can help me move tomorrow as repayment."

"I don't do heavy lifting. I could maybe call in a favor with Superman, but I think he'd confiscate. Most of your toys." She snaps her case closed. Sizable, but not too heavy for her to transfer home. "Besides, I thought dinner with me was your compensation."

Still, he did give her more here than expected. So she plants a light kiss on his cheek as well.

"Dinner wasn't enough of a compensation," he comments as she sorts out the last of it.

The kiss, however light it may be, does come as somewhat of a surprise though and brings a something akin to a genuine smile for a moment as he adds to his previous comment, "But that was."

Really, sometimes it's almost too easy. Selina bites back a grin and she hefts the case. "Thanks for dinner and the grenades, James."

James likes the simple things in life, that's all. Sometimes he's far too easily pleased and he has to be, really, with the unpredictable lifestyle he leads. "Thank you for the company. You're welcome to stay the night."

"As tempting as that is," and she's smirking at that comment, "I have cats to feed."

"Hn, well you can't keep those waiting," he decides with a small roll of his eyes that's verging on affectionate. James had learnt not to take these rejections personally, thank you very much.

"It would be rather cruel, yes," she replies. She gives him an oddly studying glance, perhaps wondering how he would handle a cat. Though, with a little girl around, perhaps he doesn't exactly need a pet's companionship.

Perhaps the consideration should be less how he'd handle a cat and more on how the cat would handle him. James and animals have an interesting relationship that generally tends to involve ignoring one another, then again, cats do seem to enjoy such personalities.

"How many do you have?"

"Six, not counting the leopard." For her, it's a small number. "Put off getting any for a while when I first got here, but I've made arrangements for them if I'm ported out."

She really does prefer having their company around.

A slow shake of his head, "Don't think I could personally manage that much company. Or that much hair."

A hint of a smile. "Vacuuming is very zen." It's true she enjoys it in a weird way.

"I tend to move out before that become an issue." That's the real reason he moves house so much; housework avoidance.

"And I like where I live." Although, truth be told, she does take advantage of her building's cleaning service more than she cleaned herself. She hefts the case. "And I need to head back."

Bond's far too paranoid for cleaning staff. He's far too paranoid for most things, really. "You do. Thank you for your company, Ms. Kyle."

A tiny grin. "Any time, Mr. Bond." And then she's gone.
