[The filtered post has just gone up, and the race is on. You can try to team up or take out your competitors, but either way, somebody's going to have to get there first. Oh, and not to mention those strange phone calls you may have been getting. But one way or another you're going to have to fight foryour right to party your place at the front. It's just a matter of whether you have help or not.]

"No way!" she almost whined. "I've been looking all around for this place, y'know?" She sighed deeply, and cast a glance up at the statue. She placed one hand on her hip, her fingers dangling just above her pouch of tricks. Just in case.
"I just wanna take a little look before I have to leave again, 'kay?" This probably would have been working better if she was dealing with a man, but oh well. Some things just weren't changeable.

"No, sorry. You're going to have to leave right now. Before the...cleaning crew people get here." She hoped she sounded official-like. At least she'd looked up enough about this society so far to know what a cleaning crew was, that was a plus.
"You can come back in a couple hours when they're done." She offered. Maybe that was enough bait.

"He's pretty big, yeah?" She laid one hand on the cool stone, running her yellow-polished fingers over it inconspicuously. Not looking for a groove or notch or anything, nope. "Wonder what he did to deserve this."
no subject
"Yes, it's huge. You still need to leave now." She was getting fairly close to just picking the woman up and chucking her out, but she figured she'd try to be civilized first. "Or I will have to remove you." She added. Okay...partly civilized.
no subject
"I don't think you wanna do that," she said lightly, casually walking around the figure, fingers still dragging across it. "We girls gotta stick together, and I don't want either of us to get in trouble because you tried to hurt me."
no subject
Her fingers drummed lightly on her hip as she spoke, and her irritation was showing plainly on her face despite her smirk. In fact, it might even be showing up in other ways...the occasional flit of a black tendril slipping out of her clothes before it righted itself. Very quickly, a split second sort of thing.
no subject
"I have a name, y'know," she said hotly, that hand never leaving her hip. She didn't like it when people called her "girl" or "girly" or anything like that. That wasn't who she was--at least, not anymore. "And trouble's never been a problem for me. But I think it might be, for you."
no subject
"Look, five seconds and I'm throwing you out of here." Ophelia was being generous, really...mostly she was trying to avoid starting a fight that would attract attention. She held up a pale hand, counting off on her fingers.
"Five...four..."

So she didn't wait for the girl to finish her stupid counting game, because being treated like a little kid was definitely not okay in her book.
She sprang forward, arm stretched back for a punch to the girl's abdomen, her foot coming around at the same time to knock her off her feet. Hand-to-hand wasn't Rikku's forte, but that didn't mean she was completely useless with it.
no subject
"That was stupid." She said as she hauled herself to her feet and charged forward. The black cloud gathered itself up into a flat fist above her head and as she leveling a punch at Rikku chest, so did it.

The blonde knew she could dodge one hit, but not both; so she decided to go for the physical fist. It seemed like it was less dangerous--and definitely less unknown. She swung herself to one side, she took the girl's hit in the shoulder, grimacing. Immediately she stretched out her yellow-polished fingers, grabbing at the darker woman's arm, aiming to flip her over and gain a bit of ground and time.

She spun around as they wings disappeared back into the tear pool, and then she held out a hand and the shadows swirled around it to reveal...an electric guitar? She twirled it twice in her hand and then spun it around so she was gripping it by the neck. She didn't want to kill the blonde girl. She didn't particularly like killing women, honestly.
But the guitar certainly would make a nice non-lethal club.
That smirk of hers was back as she shot forward, closing the distance between them...she was more gliding along the ground than walking...and swinging the guitar at Rikku's side.

Eyes closing, a brief flash of light engulfed her for a split second; when it disappeared, she was in her Warrior dress sphere, lifting her sword to try and parry the blow.
no subject
She took a step or two back, glancing at her guitar. As weapons went it wasn't that great, especially not against a bladed weapon. Two of the strings had been cut just by being blocked, in fact.
"Neat trick," she said, stepping forward in a low arc to try and sweep the girls legs with the guitar.
no subject
The blonde crouched a bit, watching the girl come forward with the guitar. Such an impractical weapon, that was. With a quick move, she dodged to the left, the instrument catching her on the foot, though it wasn't enough to knock her off balance. "You could use one of your own," she shot back cockily, starting to circle like a predator.
no subject
"Fine," she released the grip on her guitar and it dropped towards the ground only to fade back into the black ooze and rejoin the crowd. "If we're going to play for keeps, I guess I can't argue."
She lsahed her hand out, fingers pointed, and a shard of the black cloud lanced up away from her feet in a slashing arc straight at the blonde. It's quite sharp.
no subject
Rikku watched the shadow forming, saw it coming her way, and raised her sword to block; she knew that it was some kind of magic, and that her sword might not do much against it, but it was still a blade, and that was all that really mattered.
I am SO sorry this took so long.
"If you had just left we wouldn't be having this problem," she said with a sigh.
no problem
Just not right now.

"Okay, this is getting old."
She lunged forward, slashing out at the girl again, a sideways hit this time.
