SUMMARY: Wherein the Doctor and Jack spend all their money on a big old party! Sorry Ian -_-;

The Doctor hopped around the house making sure everything was to his satisfaction. There were streamers and balloons filling every nook and cranny and all of it was especially tacky and wonderful! Humans sure knew how to make decoration!!

The small backyard managed to fit two bounce houses (a castle and a water based bounce house), and inflatable pool entirely too small for adults, and the grills. There was the danger of someone bouncing into the pool but the Doctor saw that as more opportunity for fun! Inside there was food on every flat surface and downstairs where once the aquacat pool was now was ready for dancing! Even if no one showed the Doctor was going to have a good time!

Of course the real show started at sundown with the Doctor's own firework show helped along with human gunpowder and Time Lord know-how. Hope someone has the fire department on speed dial!

[Somewhere in the back of everything, Cassie's standing quietly with a drink in her hand and her robotic pet sitting next to her. She has a lot to think about. No matter what she says, the questions Katurian kept asking her keep running through her head - did she really remember what she thought she remembered? After awhile, she looks at the dog and sighs.]

Fine, go play in the bouncy-house, but if you break yourself, you're grounded.

[With an artificial bark and a very human-sounding thank-you, the dog runs off and Cassie's left alone and muttering to herself.]

Stupid party.

"CASSIE!" The Doctor pops up from nowhere with a hat on and, look, one in his hand... "Glad you came and with Bot!"

She gives a little shriek and jumps, glaring at the Doctor... and the hat in his hand.

"Bot's heading to the bouncy house, he's been talking about it all day."

He frowns a bit looking over at the two bounce housed. "I hope he doesn't go into the one that leads into the pool. I've already fixed him once; at this rate he'll be worse off than K-9!"

That bit is ignored for him placing said sparkly hat on Cassie's head. "Now you're festive!" Hey, you two match!

"I don't need..." She looks up at the sparkling... thing on her head and sighs. He means well, he does and that's the important thing, right?

...she'll trash it after his back is turned.

Some how he manages to squeeze next to her and produces a camera with only a "SMILE!" as warning before he clicks the picture. She really should have seen this coming.

"Do you have enough to eat? I can make you a smoothie! Bananas and coconut. Dip a little grilled anchovies in it and it's perfect!"

She blinks several times from the flash, realizing that it was probably going to be one terrible-looking picture. His bad, not her problem. As for the next thing...

"Ew, no anchovies." But the bananas and coconut, that actually sound pretty cool. "Can I have some chocolate in there, instead?"

"I suppose if you like things boring..." He's just happy she's come, so he'll happily make her boring old smoothie.

"I like boring. I don't have enough boring in my life." Which was true, if what Katurian suspected was true. Could she have been pushed to forget... something? And if so... what?

"Boring is alright in life, but not in food." Still, he manages to jump up and find that smoothie in no time. He holds it out for Cassie grinning. "No anchovies."

She returns the smile, taking the smoothie and giving it an experimental sip. It surprises her by actually tasting really good. Sweeter than hell but really good.

"Nice job, spaceman." She gives him a thumbs-up.
