Big Bang Three!

WHO: [livejournal.com profile] daft_old_man and EVERYONE!
WHERE: The TARDIS house
WHEN: Forward dated to July 4th
WARNINGS: The Doctor is in charge of the fireworks. Enough said.
SUMMARY: Wherein the Doctor and Jack spend all their money on a big old party! Sorry Ian -_-;
FORMAT: Whatever folks want! It's a free for all!

The Doctor hopped around the house making sure everything was to his satisfaction. There were streamers and balloons filling every nook and cranny and all of it was especially tacky and wonderful! Humans sure knew how to make decoration!!

The small backyard managed to fit two bounce houses (a castle and a water based bounce house), and inflatable pool entirely too small for adults, and the grills. There was the danger of someone bouncing into the pool but the Doctor saw that as more opportunity for fun! Inside there was food on every flat surface and downstairs where once the aquacat pool was now was ready for dancing! Even if no one showed the Doctor was going to have a good time!

Of course the real show started at sundown with the Doctor's own firework show helped along with human gunpowder and Time Lord know-how. Hope someone has the fire department on speed dial!

Oh, good. [He grins and takes her hand, and hurray there is dancing?]

[Of course there's dancing!] Are you another guest at the party?

[identity profile] comesback.livejournal.com 2011-07-04 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm one of the hosts of the party, actually. [He gives her a little charming grin.] Jack Harkness, hi.

[identity profile] lovedthesun.livejournal.com 2011-07-05 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Ah! I've heard about you, Mister Harkness. I am Shahrazad Al-Rahman. It's a pleasure to be at your party.

Good things, I hope? Nice to meet you.

[identity profile] lovedthesun.livejournal.com 2011-07-05 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I think so? I was only told you were running the party and cannot run a grill.

--That'd be correct on both points, yeah.

[identity profile] lovedthesun.livejournal.com 2011-07-06 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
No one mentioned you were taking care of the dancing. I would be happy to tell others you are doing a wonderful job in that respect.

[He laughs a little and grins.] Thanks. I'm the only one in the house with a big enough music collection for it, anyway.

[identity profile] lovedthesun.livejournal.com 2011-07-07 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good qualification. May I ask what sort of music is this?

[identity profile] comesback.livejournal.com 2011-07-09 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Swing music. It's from the late 1930s, early 40s, mostly. Wartime music.

Terrans... I'm sorry Americans listened to this music before they went to war?

[identity profile] comesback.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, it was popular at the time, anyway. They're not exactly 'Let's go win this battle' songs, are they?
