Big Bang Three!

WHO: [livejournal.com profile] daft_old_man and EVERYONE!
WHERE: The TARDIS house
WHEN: Forward dated to July 4th
WARNINGS: The Doctor is in charge of the fireworks. Enough said.
SUMMARY: Wherein the Doctor and Jack spend all their money on a big old party! Sorry Ian -_-;
FORMAT: Whatever folks want! It's a free for all!

The Doctor hopped around the house making sure everything was to his satisfaction. There were streamers and balloons filling every nook and cranny and all of it was especially tacky and wonderful! Humans sure knew how to make decoration!!

The small backyard managed to fit two bounce houses (a castle and a water based bounce house), and inflatable pool entirely too small for adults, and the grills. There was the danger of someone bouncing into the pool but the Doctor saw that as more opportunity for fun! Inside there was food on every flat surface and downstairs where once the aquacat pool was now was ready for dancing! Even if no one showed the Doctor was going to have a good time!

Of course the real show started at sundown with the Doctor's own firework show helped along with human gunpowder and Time Lord know-how. Hope someone has the fire department on speed dial!

At some point, a rather wet elf leans against a nearby bench, halfway unbuttons his shirt, and begins trying to wring it out, unselfconsciously. But the man nearby draws his attention, and he starts stealing glances.

Finally, as he redoes his shirt, he asks, "You are not from my world, are you? I know you. I have seen you before, I am certain of it."

A grin: a typical response to the Endless, something familiar about all of them, really. "I've got one of those faces, perhaps, lad," he says with a bit of a laugh.

"Are you having a good time, then?"

"You sound Fereldan enough. But you're not, are you?" Zevran gives a little shrug and moves on, although he still can't shake that odd feeling of familiarity. "Yes, this party isn't nearly as terrible as I feared. Except for the dunking, and even that was rewarded well enough." A flash of a smile, himself.

"Nae," Destruction agrees with a rubbing of his chin. "I'm not, but I'm sure I'll be by that way soon enough. I'm a bit of a traveler."

And then there's that laugh - impossibly infectious, like a disease but one someone would be happy to catch. "It's too hot to not get wet, I think. This is a good kind of party, then. Everyone seems to be smiling." A good place for Delight, if his little sister was whole and not in the pieces that scattered about when whatever it was hurt her so deeply she lost herself.

"You rather make it sound like you're another sort like this Doctor fellow," Zevran says thoughtfully. "But I suppose it's not my business to pry into such things."

Yet it's oddly comfortable, speaking to this man. Like he's an old friend, although Zevran has none of those. So he keeps talking, smiling at the laugh. "I could do without the hats. But the rest, yes; I have seen worse parties, and far worse days. But what is this firework business I keep hearing of? More magic?"

"Do I? I'm just a bit of a wanderer, more of an artist than a doctor of any kind," Destruction assures him. "You can call me Joe, lad."

Destruction knows all about fireworks; art that he does well, he's certainly inspired the best displays. "Not magic, lad, but controlled explosions of chemicals in the sky. They make all kinds of colors, green and reds and blues. Fantastic stuff, really."
