The Doctor hopped around the house making sure everything was to his satisfaction. There were streamers and balloons filling every nook and cranny and all of it was especially tacky and wonderful! Humans sure knew how to make decoration!!

The small backyard managed to fit two bounce houses (a castle and a water based bounce house), and inflatable pool entirely too small for adults, and the grills. There was the danger of someone bouncing into the pool but the Doctor saw that as more opportunity for fun! Inside there was food on every flat surface and downstairs where once the aquacat pool was now was ready for dancing! Even if no one showed the Doctor was going to have a good time!

Of course the real show started at sundown with the Doctor's own firework show helped along with human gunpowder and Time Lord know-how. Hope someone has the fire department on speed dial!

Dawn raised one hand and put the other one over her heart. Scouts honor. "Oh, I won't tell. Twice doesn't validate telling." She promised before sipping her own drink.

"The daydreamy kids at my school usually don't get told they're cool up close because people get way too nervous to talk to them since they're usually all really cute." She paused. "Not that I'm calling you cute." A flaily pause where she's almost choking on her drink. "NOT that you're not! I mean-- go you in the looks category. ---But I'm not hitting on you. Not that that thought would cross your mind and... Ah!" She ducked her head and rather quickly decided to wander off again for a moment.

Peter wasn't entirely sure what just occurred, and he's left standing there, eyebrows lifted in something between skepticism and amusement. He's fairly certain he'd be fine if he had no other form of entertainment the rest of the night after that, and he takes another long drink, shifting so he can watch to see where Dawn ends up wandering off to.

She's just wandering off to the dessert table and stuffing her face with a cookie and trying to pretend the entire thing didn't happen just now then mingling a bit.

It's not like Peter's going to be going anywhere. He's still attempting to keep from talking to anyone else, doing his best to disappear back from the edge of the crowd without even being invisible. It's a talent.

She's back and making a face and pointing around the crowd. "Is Buffy drunk?"

Following Dawn's gesturing, Peter just about cracks up when he lays eyes on Buffy. "Yeah, I think she's had one too many beers."

"This is so funny and weird and embarrassing." Dawn's just staring. What is going on here?

"Guess this means i'm gonna be your designed driver to get you back home." Peter offers Dawn an apologetic look. Siblings, such fun.

"Guess so." She stated looking over to Peter and shrugging. At least Buffy was having a good time. Buffy doesn't do good times a lot.
