The Doctor hopped around the house making sure everything was to his satisfaction. There were streamers and balloons filling every nook and cranny and all of it was especially tacky and wonderful! Humans sure knew how to make decoration!!

The small backyard managed to fit two bounce houses (a castle and a water based bounce house), and inflatable pool entirely too small for adults, and the grills. There was the danger of someone bouncing into the pool but the Doctor saw that as more opportunity for fun! Inside there was food on every flat surface and downstairs where once the aquacat pool was now was ready for dancing! Even if no one showed the Doctor was going to have a good time!

Of course the real show started at sundown with the Doctor's own firework show helped along with human gunpowder and Time Lord know-how. Hope someone has the fire department on speed dial!

"Oh, it's still a recent change. Mr. Lupin is still essentially the owner, but he stepped down from the main position and left it to me after this school year ended."

He had to smile at that last part. "But yes, I've certainly been through less pleasant adventures than this one."

“Yeah it makes a nice change.” Julian likes the City. Most of the people he’s met have been cool. “Did you guys close down the Institute for the summer?” He finds it kind of weird that no one really seems to be living there. Except Nightcrawler. But Billy, Teddy and Laura are all living in apartments and he’d have thought they’d have been prime candidates for boarders.

"Not at all! Summer classes should be starting next week, and we still have year-round residents. As a matter of fact, I'm in the process of moving on-campus myself!" He isn't entirely sure why he hadn't bothered before, perhaps he just needed some distance during that time.

But the commute from Manhattan to the Bronx every day is one he certainly won't miss.

"Summer classes? Like...teaching what?"

[professorlionface]

"The basics, mostly. Though we're also offering Home Economics this summer!" Of course they were. Hank's teaching it himself.

[hellionated]

If it can't be made in either a microwave or a toaster, Julian is unlikely to cook it. "Cool. When do regular classes start again, September?"

[professorlionface]

Then he would be perfect for the class! "Just after Labor Day, yes."

[hellionated]

Wouldn't he just. "Okay cool. Guess I'll be there."

[professorlionface]

Oh, and he just realized he hasn't exactly caught up with the boy just yet. He has hands still, unlike the last one, so there's a chance he's at least not too much farther ahead on the timestream than Hank is. "About what point did you originate from, out of curiousity? Assuming you're familiar already with the complications caused by time travel in this place."

"Yeah, I know." Mainly because Laura's from a different point in the timeline than him, but he knows Billy and Teddy are from different points than each other too. He shrugs. "Last big thing I remember is that mess with the Leper Queen and her goons. Kind of why I'm cool about this place. Any kidnappings that don't involve lethal injections are winning points with me right now."

Ah, the same point the first Julian he'd encountered here was at. Then there were a lot of things he himself had encountered that Julian'd be unaware of. "Yes, I went through a similar experience not too long before my arrival here. It makes the entire situation somewhat pale in comparison."

[hellionated]

Julian nodded and raised his eyebrows. "I guess you're from a different point than me, then," he said. "How long have you been stuck here?"

[professorlionface]

Hank just gave a small shrug. "I was really only around seven weeks [headcanoning timeframes don't mind me] further along than you are. As for how long I've been here, it'll be that many months tomorrow."

[hellionated]

"Months." Julian takes that in and nods. God that's weird. TIme differences. "And you haven't found any way home yet?"

McCoy is pretty much a genius and if he hasn't found a way out of here, it's pretty much not looking hopeful for the rest of them.

"Men better versed in technology than I have attempted it and failed." Hell, Tony got killed ended up dead from it.
