[It was Tom's first couple weeks running the bar, and, surprisingly, it had gone pretty well so far. The transition itself was a bit of a challenge, but once he'd become accustomed to it, it really wasn't so bad at all. In fact, he found himself even enjoying the work, even if it meant extra hours for the time being, since the promotion and port-outs lately meant that they were running a bit understaffed.

That wasn't why he was pulling other duties besides just managing the place, though. Working behind the bard was one of the best jobs he had, and he really enjoyed it. He got to talk to people at the bar (and occasionally have a drink or two himself). It was the social aspect that he liked, which was why, to maybe draw in a few new regular customers, he was offering free drinks for the week.]

I haven't been watching you specifically but I've seen you while I've been looking around the bar.

[He mostly latches onto the 'watching' park, and looks no less bothered.]

What? It's not that big a bar. You're bound to be seen sitting there, especially if I'm working behind the bar.

But that's Tom's job.

[Curtis arches a brow.]

It's one of his jobs, yeah. But he's not always back here. I work for him, y'know? I'm one of the people that does the job with him.

[ridethetiger]

Uh huh.

[Continuing with the frowny fussypants routine-]

So now you serve him. That doesn't mean we can be friends.

[cosmic_ring_hero]

Serve? No this is my job...[He sighs. For a moment he glances at his ring but chases those thoughts away quickly.] And why not?

You have to do more than that.

[cosmic_ring_hero]

Alright then. What would I have to do?

[ridethetiger]

I dunno... Dance like a girl?

[cosmic_ring_hero]

Dance like a girl? [Curtis blinks.] Girls dance some special way?

[ridethetiger]

Yeah, like the girls in the club.

[cosmic_ring_hero]

Club? Like the strip club? [He laughs, amused by this.] Seriously?

[ridethetiger]

Strip club? [Tilts head.] Just the club.

[cosmic_ring_hero]

Oh. [He tilts his head to the side.] Alright. Never really paid much attention to girls dancing but if you wanna dance, fine with me. [He's thinking Ggio wants to dance with him.]

[ridethetiger]

No, no, no, I don't dance.

[He laughs, FFFF, the very thought...!]

Huh. Kinda sounded like you wanted me to dance with you. [He shrugs.] So, you wanna do to a club sometime and watch me dance?

[ridethetiger]

No, too much work. Dance here. [Points at the floor, then thinks about it, and points towards the people out on the floor.]

With those people.

It's too much work to go have fun and relax at a club? [This confuses Curtis. He blinks when pointed out at the bar goers.]

You do know this isn't a dancing bar, right?

I don't like clubs.

[Ggio waves his hand dismissively.]

And I don't care about that. There's beer, people dance.

Really? Why not? [He's curious.]

Oh really? Anyone dancing right now?

[ridethetiger]

I don't like them.

[Says with a note of finality, paying more attention to the matter at hand.]

Maybe not, you can be the first one.

Club scene's not for everyone. [He nods.] Prefer a nice bar like this myself most of the time.

I think you just want to see me look silly, y'know.
