Bar Log ((OPEN))
WHO: Tom Bronson + OPEN
WHERE: the bar
WHEN: all week
WARNINGS: none
SUMMARY: Tom now owns the bar, and everyone gets their first drink free for the first week.
FORMAT: quick
[It was Tom's first couple weeks running the bar, and, surprisingly, it had gone pretty well so far. The transition itself was a bit of a challenge, but once he'd become accustomed to it, it really wasn't so bad at all. In fact, he found himself even enjoying the work, even if it meant extra hours for the time being, since the promotion and port-outs lately meant that they were running a bit understaffed.
That wasn't why he was pulling other duties besides just managing the place, though. Working behind the bard was one of the best jobs he had, and he really enjoyed it. He got to talk to people at the bar (and occasionally have a drink or two himself). It was the social aspect that he liked, which was why, to maybe draw in a few new regular customers, he was offering free drinks for the week.]

[ No, no you aren’t. You’re just making him smile and lean in towards you so he can see those blushing cheeks better.
…are you absolutely sure you want to be living with this? ]

Actually, I don't know. [ Smile ] I wouldn't hate you testing me on it.

Fine, Sofia. Fine. Two can play this game.
He brushes her hair back over her shoulder with his teke. ]
Yeah. Really.

You weren't expecting me to try and make you blush like that?

The only one? I'm kind of flattered.

Other people never found the same words.

What?! It’s nice. He’s still trying to trick her into holding his other hand though…
Until she says that, and it makes him still. ]
I said the right thing? [ Forgive the surprise, it’s just. These days, he keeps saying the wrong thing to Laura. It’s…kind of nice to be told the opposite. ]

Okay not thinking about that. Smiling back. ]
Well I'm glad no other guy came up to my standards.
...Seriously, though. No one?

I looked after myself. A couple of guys flirted at the cafe but they were just silly, boys, having fun.

But it hasn’t been that simple for him, nowhere close. He takes a minute to run his mind over all the girls who meant absolutely nothing back home.
And then there was Laura…
But then there was Tom. And thinking about those two things together had a way of making him sad.
Sofia, with those brown eyes looking at him, and those hands on his wrist…she had a way of making him happy. Did it need to be as complicated as he was making it?
Also, did he seriously need to think this much? God. He pushes it all back. ]
Those silly boys didn’t know what they were missing out on, then. Don’t hate me for saying I’m glad there isn’t anyone. Though I don’t like thinking of you being alone for all that time.

It would be very good if he did. Sofia's feelings hadn't died for him for him when she left the school. Julian's face had appeared in her dreams and so had his kisses. She wouldn't mind those kisses happening outside her dreams again. However, if he did still like her, they still needed to spend more time together]
I did have friends, Julian so I wasn't alone [she smiles]. I don't hate you for saying it, but I would like to know why you are glad I do not have a boy around.

He can almost see her thinking, digesting, trying to analyse him. It always drove him crazy when people did that. But Sofia...hell, he'd spent a lot of time doing that to her when they were in school. ]
I don't know. Guess I don't like the idea of you being with... [ someone who isn't him ] someone else.
