WHO: I'll get back to you on that.
WHERE: Outside the City, at Diana and Zee's place.
WHEN: 3 PM on Sunday, May 20th.
WARNINGS: I'll get back to you on this, also.
SUMMARY: See this post.
FORMAT: Respond however you want.
It shouldn't come as a shock to anyone that Zatanna's house is even bigger on the inside than it appears from the curb. It also shouldn't come as a shock that the backyard is the same; while it's normally rather large, she's put forth a great deal of energy into making it big enough to hold a waterpark. It also isn't visible from the front yard or around the privacy gate. If someone were to take an aerial photo, all they'd see is a moderate-sized empty yard full of shrubbery and a patio set. There's obviously no reason Mitch shouldn't attend in a speedo, right?
There are tables of snacks and drinks, some of which are alcoholic -- but don't worry, if anyone under 21 grabs one, it turns into ginger ale. As boasted in her text, there is, in fact, cake. Two different kinds (neither with nuts just in case someone has allergies), one vanilla and covered in strawberries and the other a fancy-looking, layered chocolate. Both were bought from a little hole-in-the-wall bakery several blocks from her home that she and Larsa have been frequenting.
Though it is her birthday, Zatanna is playing gracious hostess, while wearing a very fitting swimsuit and occasionally toting around a cat or two.
This is sort of open. Feel free to tag in with whatever. c:

just gonna keep f5ing stuff i haven't tracked.
You make a fair point. I did go a bit overboard, but it's better than renting a place. [And obviously cheaper.] It'll go back to being smaller and full of shrubbery, flowers, herbs, veggies, and whatnot tomorrow. [She ducks her head coyly, accepting his praise nonetheless.]

Nonsense. Why bother doing anything if you aren't going to go all out about it? I love it! ... I left your gift at the table. It's the one in the gold coloured wrapping. I do hope you like it.

Sometimes it's interesting to see how you can restrain yourself. Just another form of acting. [Her eyes dart to the table, checking it out.] Good taste in giftwrap, too. I'm sure I will -- and nice ensemble there.

The outfit? Oh, don't tease me, darling. It's just something light and comfortable to keep myself modest between my flat and your pool, that's all. I bought a swim suit just for the occasion.

I've got a thirteen year old, you know. If he starts asking questions, I'm fielding them all to you.

You're a mother? I never would have suspected. Certainly not of a thirteen year-old child. Well, I'm touched you trust me to answer to his curiosity.
[He smirks mischievous and amused. Does she really trust him to explain anything -taboo- to a child?]
I'm hardly indecent, besides, and I have no plans to be.
[Performing in front of full crowds in just a jock strap may well have skewed his view of 'indecent'.]

He's adopted; a few months ago, actually. He needed a legal guardian and since he asked... [A mild shrug. Just a kid! No sweat, right?] I don't expect you to scar him too badly.
no subject
That's very sweet of you, taking him in. I'm sure you'll be a splendid guardian, and I promise not to ruin him. As I said, I got a suit so I'll not offend anyone by swimming naked.

[He smiles broadly, refusing to dwell on the whyfores of the matter and whether or not he feels badly for it. ]
Maybe we can find a more private location for night swimming, sometime? Better suits my complexion, anyway.

I think that could be arranged. As lovely as it is to hang around indoors during the summer, I do like to get out and about. A pool's a nice reprieve from the sofa.
