SUMMARY: Davesprite decided he wanted to go to a strip club, and Vriska and Nill decided they wanted to go to a regular club. The clubs are at different times so if you want characters to go to both, go for it!

[At least Tavros isn't hard to miss. Jade spots him and makes her way over, carefully sliding up on his right side between his seat and the stool next to him.]

Hey. [She smiles brightly at him.]

[uhhh]

[ at first he doesn't think the person next to him is talking to him; it's probably some pretty girl here to meet the person next to him. she's wearing a really nice dress! he turns his head to look (slowly and carefully, so he doesn't destroy anything), and realizes with a start that it's Jade. after the split-second surprise, he smiles back. ]

Oh wow, hi, Jade!

[dogwitch]

[She lets out a small chuckle.] Wow, yourself. Those horns are certainly more impressive in person. [She reaches up and pokes the one closest to her.]

[uhhh]

Hehe, I don't think they really fit all the way on the screen, so, I can see how you would think that.

[ a faint laugh, caught somewhere between embarrassed and giddy. jade is talking to him okay it's exciting ]

You look, really nice in person, too.

[dogwitch]

They didn't.

[She ducks her head a bit and blushes at the compliment. She's really thankful Gamzee isn't here to poke fun at her.] ...Thanks.

[uhhh]

[ Tavros just nods with a pleasant sort of tan tinge to his face, narrowly avoiding clocking the guy next to him with his horn. ]

You're welcome. Did you, uhh... want to get a drink or something? I didn't have very much luck, with ordering one.

[dogwitch]

Mmmn, a drink. [She glances over at the little drink menu. What on it sounded good and like it didn't have much alcohol in it. Or any at all, preferably.]

Do you like sweet or tangy stuff? [If so there were a couple drinks that looked like they were made with a lot of fruit so they should be sweet and tangy.]

[uhhh]

I like both! But, especially things that have a sort of zing, or a hot flavor? So tangy, yes, would also be okay.

[ all those weird drink names, man. he saw "sex on the beach" and closed the menu so fast he almost ripped it. ]

[She raises a brow at Tavros' suddenly closing the menu before turning to order a couple drinks.

One wouldn't hurt right? Even if it did have quite a bit of alcohol in it. Then again Jade had no idea what kind of tolerance she had.]

They probably make some drinks that are spicy. [Just as the bartender returns with their drinks. Jade takes her's and gives it a sniff before taking a sip.]

OH! This is really good.

[uhhh]

What is it?

[ he's having a little difficulty smelling properly because of all the club stank, otherwise he might be able to tell. as it is, he just nurses his glass of the water for the time being, too cautious and suspicious of weird human soporesque drinks. ]

[dogwitch]

It's raspberry and I think some pomegranate. Not sure what else. But it's really fruity! [She takes another drink because really it's the perfect drink. She doesn't feel any burn from alcohol, at least she assumes alcohol would burn. And there's no bitter taste either. It's just sweet and tangy.]

Maybe lemon too. [She licks her lips.]

[uhhh]

Ooh... [ he's familiar with two of those three, and either way, fruity is good. after a moment he glances toward the bartender. ] Maybe I should, try one? If it, tastes good then it can't be too bad to drink.

[dogwitch]

[Jade is already a step ahead of him, she slides a second glass over to him and smiles.]

[ hrrrrm. he picks the glass up and hovers curiously over it for a few seconds. his crazy fangs make straws sort of difficult, so he just sips right out of the cup. ]

[uhhh]

Wow! That is really good.

[ a far less cautious second sip. ]

[dogwitch]

[Jade giggles at his reaction before pushing away from the bar.] Come on, lets sit somewhere where you won't accidentally hit someone with your horns. [She kind of works on clearing a path to one of the couches in the corner that's nearly empty.]

[uhhh]

[ Tavros takes his drink and moves quickly but as carefully as he can so all Jade's work won't be for naught, weaving his way around the people in the crowd. there's only one near-accident on the way there and the guy he almost hits yells something at him, but with all the loud music Tavros can't make it out.

it's probably just as well. he's relieved when he's sitting again. ]

This place sure is pretty bustling. Is this what humans do for fun, all of the time?

[dogwitch]

[Jade settles on the couch after Tavros, making sure to leave a noticeable space between the two of them.]

I suppose. [She sips her drink and looks around, squinting. She was really the wrong person to ask about what humans did for fun.] I guess adults have to have something to unwind with so places like this help?

[uhhh]

Huh.

[ unwind from what, he wonders. human adults must lead interesting lives if this is how they opt to destress. he falls quiet for a moment or two to watch the crowd, sipping heartily at his drink (by about five sips it's already half gone). ]

We don't have things like this on Alternia. Parties are usually just, a lot smaller and quieter, mostly.

[dogwitch]

[It's all just speculation on Jade's part. If she had glasses that were actually up to her current prescription she might be seeing things a bit differently. As there are a few couples around the club attempting to get all touchy feely in secret. Which honestly, isn't all that secret to anyone that's not dancing or otherwise occupied.]

Really? So they're just something more like little gatherings with not much else going on?

[uhhh]

Yeah, mostly that. Friends will sometimes get together, or there are, rallies—but those are usually for trolls that are more sweeps than me. They do that for, military things and, other related activities. For recruiting.

[ oh, how he used to admire the Cavalreapers. he smiles faintly and glances toward Jade again. ]

I guess I didn't go out very much, though.

[dogwitch]

Ah. I see. [She's also fascinated by what she learns about Alternia but at the same time it kind of makes her sad.]

You and me both. Then again what was there to go out to? [She laughs before taking another drink.]

[uhhh]

I don't know, there had to be a lot of things to see on the place where you were growing up as a human wiggler, right? It looked like, a nice place.

[ he kind of had a singular view of what was going on there, though. whoops. ]

Well there was the ruins and the ocean and all over the island but with my sleeping problem exploration wasn't always safe.
