WHO: ERIDAN AMPORA and ZATANNA ZATARA and THEIR VERY UNFORTUNATE GUESTS.
WHERE: a creepy ~~rose red~~ house on the edge of the city.
WHEN: 11/5.
WARNINGS: fakemurder. gore. trauma. misery. mystery!!!
SUMMARY: since eridan spent the entirety of halloween wweepin and eating stale sugar cookies in his basement leah, he and zee throw a belated halloween party!! BAD THINGS HAPPEN.
FORMAT: ANYTHING GOES.

[the house - it's more of a miniature mansion, really, and incredibly creepy - is just far enough from the city's limits to be quiet. sprawling, dark, and eerie; it's kind of like a cross between rose red and dracula's summer home, which is at least half of the reason why it was chosen. maybe two-thirds.

inside the decorations are done up in lush reds and the occasional streaks of violet; the kitchen is full of food and refreshments, the main hall is decked out, the music is pumping, and the hosts will no doubt be more than happy to tell everyone all about how they heard a rumor from a friend of a cousin of the realtor that like a quintuple murder totally happened in the attic or something (or one of them will, at least). rooms beyond the immediate party area (a host of ground level rooms and anything upstairs, basically) haven't exactly been blocked off, but they're also visibly not as touched up and may or may not be haunted.

well, there's a definite risk. the place is creepy as hell.

Why not reverse it? Begin the storage in the closet, and leave the floor for overflow instead?

That is the purpose of a closet.

Not rules so much as guidelines, methods, approaches. They contribute to the flow of a room the same as anything else.

The interior of one's respiteblock is just as beholden to the tenets of design as anything else, such as your wardrobe.

You certainly seem to have your own choices you add to it beyond the lowest requirements.

I guess, but I didn't really think about it beyond the fact that it'd be cute and comfy to wear. Besides, who could pawsibly think about wasting a nice pelt like this?

Precisely! And where is it that you hang your unprocessed pelts? [ assuming she's already started accumulating them, which...well she'd rather those weren't kept in her room to begin with. she's just next door, she has to smell that. ]

I use the dresser drawers most of the time since I like to watch them while they're drying. But sometimes if I've got a bunch I guess I'll stick them in the closet - they're so teeny you can fit a ton on one hanger! [oh honey you have no idea how many little squirrel pelts she's got sitting in the corner of her room already. she'd be sorry about the smell if she even noticed it at this point]

You know, I'm actually afraid to ask. I'm not sure I really want to know what you've been hunting.

Nothing dangerous, I purromise. [she actually sounds a little put out by that fact] Purretty much anything that isn't on a leash that looks like it'd make fur a good kill I'll at least try fur.

And what do you do with them, aside from stripping away the pelts?

Eat them and sometimes paint with their blood. What else would I do with them?

Why would I do that? [they taste just fine raw....]

I hardly think you'd want to catch some sort of Earth disease! Which isn't even to mention that I have been very diligent to provide healthy, nutritious, and above all safe meals every day! There's little need to scavenge from an unfulfilling quarry.

Your food's fine, but it's just not as satisfying eating something that you didn't catch yourself. And I'm purretty sure that I won't get sick! Efurything on Earth seems to be a lot more watered down than the stuff we're used to.

Well, you have no assurance that we won't encounter some affliction that will only have a worse affect on us due to lack of exposure to it previously.

We haven't necessarily displayed any special immunities yet.

Then wouldn't it be better fur me to keep eating them? We won't be resistant to anything if we keep avoiding it.

I'm pretty sure that probably isn't how it works. And it assumes you would survive the initial affliction, which I'd really rather we didn't test.

But what am I supposed to do if I can't eat them? I can't waste the meat. [she doesn't do wasteful hunting that's mean :C]
