Sure, being hit on the head and shot at might not count as a good memory, but it's better than the alternative. Better than what happened here. [ Curiously enough, the sight of actual food brings back the appetite he was only half-considering a while ago. After a moment's consideration to consider the pie, he eventually digs his fork in to try some, popping it into his mouth and chewing thoughtfully.
Almost imperceptibly, he relaxes. ]
