SUMMARY: Thanksgiving is nearly here and it's time to do some grocery shopping!

[Bobbi has composed a long list of food items that will be needed to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. It's not just turkey that she has in mind-- there's all the fixings and alcohol to obtain as well. Luckily she's brought Clint along to help her with her food quest, and more importantly, to carry everything back to the Mansion in one piece.

Unfortunately, it seems like lots of people had the same idea to get started on their shopping several days in advance. The aisles are crowded with shoppers and their baskets and carts, filled to overflowing with boxes of mashed potatoes and stuffing. This grocery store is teetering on the brink of running out of Thanksgiving supplies, and honestly Bobbi is having none of it.]

Damn. I didn't think it would be this crowded already.

I'll just leave it at humans have reason to dislike my kind back home. An old war.

[He waves his hand. He's not about to lie about his past or the nature of his kind; and speaking of that, he'll just wait and see how long it takes for her to ask what his kind is. It's become a somewhat amusing game for him when talking with humans.]

Oh, I've already dealt with raising children once before. I'm looking forward to doing it again, once mine have hatched.

Hatched, huh? So that would make you... a... [Something that humans waged war on?] A bird?

[governorkang]

A draconian, ma'am. Created from dragons, but not the same.

[Well, that's a first. He just smiles, though.]

If I had to guess, I would say you're an imPort as well. Not many natives are this casual about it.

[mocks]

Sure am. [She extends a hand to him.] Bobbi Morse, imPort Avenger extraordinaire, at your service.

[governorkang]

[He takes her hand and gives it a friendly shake.]

Kang. Governor of Teyr, but here I'm just a construction worker. Well met, Miss Bobbi.

[mocks]

Likewise, Governor. Say, how come you're a construction worker and not a politician?

[governorkang]

I'm very aware that my title doesn't mean much of anything here, and the governmental systems of my world are very different. The technology is far more advanced here as well, and I know nothing of the history, which would make me a very poor representative, wouldn't it?

[He shrugs.]

I was an engineer in the military for most of my life, though, so I fell back on that.

[mocks]

That would depend on who you ask. About half the population would say we're poorly represented by the folks already in office.

[She chuckles.]
