SUMMARY: Ned invites the whole City to the Pie Hole. He and Zatanna are cooking and baking everything (there are meat and meatless options), but feel free to bring a favorite from home!

[From the outside, the Pie Hole hasn't changed much, though the window is draped in elaborate snowflake-shaped lights, but inside is a whole other story. Zatanna has made quite a spectacle of the place, a huge banquet hall filled with long and short tables for enjoying your meal with any number of friends. And the decorations are outrageous. Ned's Christmas decorations, which were already over-the-top have all been magically enhanced and Thanksgivingsized like little crystalline pumpkin baubles and overspilling cornucopia on each buffet table, lined up in front of the kitchen. Ned is firmly putting his foot down this year: no one is to enter his kitchen but Zee or himself.

He'll be serving regular pie menu as well as breakfast (frittatas) until twelve noon at which point there will be an hour or two for people to arrive and mingle. The food will be out by 1:30-2 pm and dessert to be served at 3 pm. Ned just wants everyone to have a great day so come in and make yourself at home!! There are a few kegs as well if you all didn't listen and byob...]

Now there's a frown I recognize.

[ Steph, for the most part, didn't want to fuss around with cooking or organizing get-togethers or thinking about how she has no clue when she'll ever see her mother again. So of course, when Ned mentioned on the network that his restaurant was open for Thanksgiving, well, she couldn't resist.

She sidles up to Tim and takes a seat without asking. ]

Great minds think alike. Let me guess, no other plans today?

[ Tim looks up at her, then back down at his plate. ]

Not like I have any family in town.

That makes two of us. [ She flashes a sympathetic smile, regardless of if he's looking or not. ]

Good thing we've got friends. And pie.

[ he takes a bite but doesn't really taste it. ]

Are we friends?

I like to think so. [ She hops up for a second to grab a piece of pie for herself from a nearby table. ]

Whatever else we might be, we're still friends. [ Because they care about each other, and that's what friends do, right? ]

[ he forces a smile. Whoops, he's not good at this anymore. ]

Good. Yeah.

[ he says a lot without saying anything. Her friendship DOES matter to him. ]

[ She starts digging in to her own pie, watching Tim as she chews. ]

[ She hates seeing him like this. He gets scary when he's depressed. ]

[ He takes another bite, because that's normal. ]

He should be here.

I know you miss him. But he's right back home waiting for you. This whole crazy thing, it won't last forever.
