SUMMARY: Ned invites the whole City to the Pie Hole. He and Zatanna are cooking and baking everything (there are meat and meatless options), but feel free to bring a favorite from home!

[From the outside, the Pie Hole hasn't changed much, though the window is draped in elaborate snowflake-shaped lights, but inside is a whole other story. Zatanna has made quite a spectacle of the place, a huge banquet hall filled with long and short tables for enjoying your meal with any number of friends. And the decorations are outrageous. Ned's Christmas decorations, which were already over-the-top have all been magically enhanced and Thanksgivingsized like little crystalline pumpkin baubles and overspilling cornucopia on each buffet table, lined up in front of the kitchen. Ned is firmly putting his foot down this year: no one is to enter his kitchen but Zee or himself.

He'll be serving regular pie menu as well as breakfast (frittatas) until twelve noon at which point there will be an hour or two for people to arrive and mingle. The food will be out by 1:30-2 pm and dessert to be served at 3 pm. Ned just wants everyone to have a great day so come in and make yourself at home!! There are a few kegs as well if you all didn't listen and byob...]

[Kenzi arrives a little before one with her pack loaded up with a few bottles of vodka and tequila. She shrugs it off and sets it on the table with a thump before starts unpacking it. Although she kept a few bottles in her pack just in case they were needed later.]

The party has arrived! [Okay, maaaaaybe the booze could have been brought out later but Kenzi wasn't really the type to take into consideration the time of day when it came to drinking.

Once the drinks are unpacked she immediately makes her way over to any food that's still left. Just a little something to hold her over until dinner.]

[Kenzi isn't the only one who's brought something. Kang sets a couple of six-packs on the table next to the liquor, grinning.]

ZATANNA'S TABLE; OPEN

[Zatanna's table is the largest here and there are a few extra seats in case anyone decides they'd like to slip on in and make some new friends.

There are just as many vegetarian options as ones with meat and, if you reach for a plate or a bowl a little display pops up over it saying what the food is for a moment (including allergy, gluten-free, and vegetarian/vegan information). It looks sort of like a science-fiction display, but considering it's Zee and tech doesn't go hand-in-hand with her... it's more likely that it was done with magic and seemed more logical than having a dish shout what it's contents are at you.

[April is there at the bright and early hour of 1pm, claiming her spot at at seat closest to the dessert like area of the table. There are a few odd raccoons running around under and around the table, fetching her food and drink for her so she can dedicate her time to folding the napkins into zombie turkey shape, a red sharpie adding the extra effects, for everyone.]

[ Mitch arrives, well, not late, but much later than everyone else. Being the Mayor means he has other things to do, like parades and showing up for shit for the public's eye.

But eventually he gets in there. For once, he doesn't look too upset to be there. In fact, he looks pretty alright, for a guy that's ridiculously stressed. Comparatively. He sweeps in, managing to somehow dodge the paparazzi, watching around the room awkwardly for a few moments before coming over to the table. He hovers for a bit, not taking a seat. ]

[James is just managing to look pretty miserable throughout the entire experience. Granted, he's trying to force a smile onto his features every time Zee glances in his direction, but it's not a great cover up and he doesn't seem that intent of getting into the spirit of eating everything ever. Stupid social events and stupid American holidays.

At least he seems quite intent to stab a slice of turkey to death with a fork. Plus he has a good helping of wine by his elbow.]

[ Max gets there about half an hour late, but she does her best to look like she's not late at all as she slides into her seat and pours herself a drink. Thanksgiving dinner. Last year she'd done this with Dick and the others, but there had been quite a few of them then.

She'd almost stayed home, really. After recent events, willingly going out into public made her a little jumpy, socializing wasn't necessarily the easiest thing she'd ever done. Which was why she was late - it had taken her some time to actually force herself out the door. But she had, and here she was. Ready to eat. ]

(This is his first time having a feast that isn't at such a huge table! He's there dressed up (as he had heard was the tradition) and, is quite frankly, so used to the quirkiness that is Zatanna. Cup of tea in his hand and contently offering help when it's needed, Larsa looks so excited.)

[ Bradbury doesn't arrive with Mitch, if only because he's not currently acting in his capacity as personal bodyguard. It doesn't feel right, and he hates knowing there are other people doing his job for him, but unlike Mitchell Hundred, he knows when to step back. He arranges the security detail to his satisfaction beforehand, and while he still arrives late, it's a good hour earlier than his boss.

He doesn't entirely relax until he sees Mitch step through the door, but until then, he's absently, mechanically working his way through dinner. The bandage on his neck is off now, exposing the neat stitching that hasn't been taking out yet, and there's still the patched-up cut on his forehead. He's quiet, but in a way that implies less like he's trying to actively retreat and more like he's got a lot on his mind. ]

[Barbara was basically on time; she was too polite to be either too late or too early. She chooses Zatanna's table mostly because she knows her, at least somewhat.]

[Of course the labels on the dishes make it clear just how much of that knowledge is theoretical. It's not that she minds (even if she'll never be totally comfortable with things she doesn't completely understand), but it's not something she expected at all. She draws her hand back and hesitates before trying anything.]

[ It's already afternoon when Archer and Rin arrive--either they're deliberately being fashionably late, or it took them a while to agree enough to prepare to go out (hint: it's the latter). Archer, clad in his typical red coat and black under-armor without much care for whether anyone will look at him funny, leads the way to a small table not far from a corner, with Rin staying close to him like a shadow and regarding the other people in the restaurant warily.

Archer himself doesn't seem too worried about anything--but he does roll his eyes at all the decorations. ]

Man, I hope they put as much effort into making the food taste good as they did into making the place look pretty.

[ When someone has the reputation of being off with their timing, it's only natural that it gets played up the extreme. If Archer prefers things to be more timely, then maybe he shouldn't have made all of those passive aggressive stabs towards the premature summoning ritual. You know, the one that caused him to 'forget' his identity. ]

You're not going to go back there if they get it wrong, are you?

[ The young woman's never been much for physical contact, but she lingers around Archer much more closely than usual. Without the use of her circuits, she's unable to defend herself, but more important than that? She's not able to determine if there's any other magical or spiritual sources nearby and that frightens her more than anything else.

Not that she'll ever admit to it. ] We're here because you're too lazy to cook in the first place, so it'd be a pointless gesture.

[ Honestly, Bradbury doesn't intend to go over and greet anyone he doesn't already know, but he recognizes, at least, the girl that Archer's with. He never got her name.

He doesn't know the guy personally, though he's seen him on the network. Even without that, he can recognize the way Rin sticks close to him anywhere - he must be her bodyguard, or close enough. He's certainly dressed for the job, anyway.

Bradbury takes a while to decide whether or not to say hi, but eventually, he figures he may as well. So he walks over, still dressed in suit and tie, raising a hand in an awkward wave. He's a big guy, but the slouch of his shoulders suggests he's doing his best to assume as non-offensive a pose as possible. ]

[ Wally is the very image of attempted moderation. He mostly sticks to the meat options, anything that's less targeted towards specific groups. If it has peanuts he's nibbling on it. Thing is, when he only nibbles a little every now and then? He still eats a ton.

But at least he looks a little sheepish as he does it. ]

[A drunken vampire is crashing this party, ya'll. Seeing as he's still ignorant to how innocuous the Sun is to him, he stayed inside all day watching A Christmas Story. All day. And drinking lots of stolen beer, of course. He literally stumbles past the glass doors, elbowing people as he goes. He hasn't had blood in a while, so that alcohol got to him fast, and he's chugging the last of his 12-pack as he makes his way to the food table.]

I've always wondered how they got these mini weenies so... mini.

[Zee has spent most of the day in the kitchen with Ned (as he is a cautious Whiny McWhinerston and won't allow anyone else in it with him). She started drinking around noon, but has managed to avoid keeping it from becoming a string of drink after drink. Currently, Zatanna has a glass of white wine in her hand -- it's brought from her own cellar, so it's presumably good.

She takes in a moment of silence while she can.]

[ Tim wasn't sure he was going to go do the Thanksgiving thing at all. He wasn't feeling particularly thankful, and really, he was feeling lonely. It wasn't the kind of loneliness he felt like sharing with anyone, either. Plus, really, who did he know? Stephanie, yeah. Zatanna. Helena, sort of, though she was probably still pissed at him. Max, a little. A couple people here and there, like Bucky.

He wasn't Bruce, either. Bruce could manage gatherings full of people and look like he belonged there, even when he hated it. Tim was more withdrawn, more awkward.

But he'd made it, okay. Standing around awkwardly with a piece of pie still counted as being there, right? ]

[Ned has a short stretch of DOWNTIME before the turkey hits the floor, now's your chance to come poke his face. He's adjusting the hors d'oeuvres absently, careful as always not to touch the meaty ones.]
