SUMMARY: Ned invites the whole City to the Pie Hole. He and Zatanna are cooking and baking everything (there are meat and meatless options), but feel free to bring a favorite from home!

[From the outside, the Pie Hole hasn't changed much, though the window is draped in elaborate snowflake-shaped lights, but inside is a whole other story. Zatanna has made quite a spectacle of the place, a huge banquet hall filled with long and short tables for enjoying your meal with any number of friends. And the decorations are outrageous. Ned's Christmas decorations, which were already over-the-top have all been magically enhanced and Thanksgivingsized like little crystalline pumpkin baubles and overspilling cornucopia on each buffet table, lined up in front of the kitchen. Ned is firmly putting his foot down this year: no one is to enter his kitchen but Zee or himself.

He'll be serving regular pie menu as well as breakfast (frittatas) until twelve noon at which point there will be an hour or two for people to arrive and mingle. The food will be out by 1:30-2 pm and dessert to be served at 3 pm. Ned just wants everyone to have a great day so come in and make yourself at home!! There are a few kegs as well if you all didn't listen and byob...]

And his eyebrows quirk a bit, and there might be a tug to his lips that may be a smile. ]

(he hums contently, acting quite smug that he knows Mitchell somewhat:) Should you not fake eating.

Who said anything about faking, huh? I was going to eat something.

[ It may not be a lot, and Mitch may not often get a ton, but he does eat. He really isn't a robot, even if he pretends to be one on occasion. ]

[ He laughs a little. Ignoring the second part of his statement. ]

I'm pretty sure she'd say it's photoshopped whether I'm eating or not.

[ He's looking over the room, before his head swings to give Larsa a look that can only be described as surprised. ]

Is that a joke? Shit, Zee must be wearing on you.

(larsa frowns slightly; why do people seem to think that he has no sense of humor?)

Shit, I'm sure it's in there somewhere, you just don't let it out often enough, so we're always surprised.

[ He gives him a little smile. Come on, everyone makes fun of him for being a robot, they can make fun of Larsa for having no sense of humor, right? ]

Then, let it be our own secret. I would hate for April to find out that she doesn't have anything else to mock me about.

You know, if we take all of those away, she might just wither.

[ He looks thoughtful for a moment. ]

(he can't be that threatening, right? But the way that he drops his voice makes it seem that he's done this before.)

Well, so would I. Beneath the crusty exterior, she actually works really hard.

[ He tips his head a little, only slightly indicating her direction. ]

Well, a little hard. When she wants to, but when she does it, she does good work.

I would not even call her exterior crusty. April, despite her best efforts to hide it, is actually quite... sweet.

(but it might be an indication of the people he's grown up around.)

Though, she musn't know this.

[ It's ok, Larsa, he'd say April wasn't that bad too, but he would never say it to her face. ]

[ He laughs, a soft little chuckle. ]

(that shocks Larsa, he's never actually heard Mitchell laugh before.)

[ Even if it's short, and a token laugh, at least it's something, but he notes the subtle shift in his face. Oh, shit, had he really been that emotionless around the kid? ]

[ A hair too long on the sardonic smile plastered on his face, before he shook his head, and he turned the smile down just a hair. A fraction away from strained, where a moment ago it had been strained. ]
