SUMMARY: Ned invites the whole City to the Pie Hole. He and Zatanna are cooking and baking everything (there are meat and meatless options), but feel free to bring a favorite from home!

[From the outside, the Pie Hole hasn't changed much, though the window is draped in elaborate snowflake-shaped lights, but inside is a whole other story. Zatanna has made quite a spectacle of the place, a huge banquet hall filled with long and short tables for enjoying your meal with any number of friends. And the decorations are outrageous. Ned's Christmas decorations, which were already over-the-top have all been magically enhanced and Thanksgivingsized like little crystalline pumpkin baubles and overspilling cornucopia on each buffet table, lined up in front of the kitchen. Ned is firmly putting his foot down this year: no one is to enter his kitchen but Zee or himself.

He'll be serving regular pie menu as well as breakfast (frittatas) until twelve noon at which point there will be an hour or two for people to arrive and mingle. The food will be out by 1:30-2 pm and dessert to be served at 3 pm. Ned just wants everyone to have a great day so come in and make yourself at home!! There are a few kegs as well if you all didn't listen and byob...]

[ It's something he thinks he needs to work through himself, in time, but he doesn't seem to mind being distracted from it. He's not the type to brood and dwell over it so much. ]

That's all I can ask anyone for. [It's all she'd hope for, if it were her. Forcefulness never ends well in these situations.]

Hm? My first year here, I held one at my house with an open invitation to anyone that had nowhere else to go. The second year, I had it here. Ned had just ported out and I wanted to do this for him. This year, I guess, is both. Sort of. [Apparently she's happy to change the subject to something they are both more comfortable with.]

[ He waves a hand at Ned, wherever he is in the room right now. ]

So how do you know the pie guy?

[ Ned had mentioned being here before, but he hadn't known exactly how many people he was acquainted with. It stands to reason he knows Zatanna, of course, considering... well, everything about the spread. But he doesn't know the details. ]

I met him over the Network. [Bradbury should just assume she knows most everyone.] I'm actually an investor in the Pie Hole and formerly, a part-owner.

Why "former"? Did you sell off your share or something?

[Honestly, that's true of her, too.]

It belongs to Ned now. It's his place, his dream. I'm just in it for the free pie.

He does make pretty good pie. [ Speaking of which, he'll be helping himself to a slice of apple pie right about now. ]

It's the best. I'm a big fan of his pecan pie, but I'd take a small one of each, assuming you can manage. [But... where will he put actual food? The menu is pretty lengthy, Zee.]

Although I suppose you'd like some actual food, too. The vegetarian options are my doing, the rest was either by need or in conjunction with me. I hope it's all to your liking! [She seems really proud of the spread, grinning like an idiot when she talks about it and the work they've both done. It's all out of love for the City and the people within it, especially those that they specifically invited.]

[ He seems a little bemused by the sudden deluge of information, but her grin is infectious, and he finds himself smiling back, despite everything. ]

I don't actually have five stomachs, Zee. [ He chuckles, waving his free hand around at the spread. ] Almost wish I did, though. Someone's gonna have to roll me outta here.

Eh, just eat really fast. Don't give yourself time to adapt to being full. Come on, it's the American way! [She gives him a hearty pat to the back.] It's okay, I'll teleport you home if you need me to.

[And the pat turns into a gentle, playful elbowing of his side accompanied by a suspiciously lowered voice:] So feel free to drink all you want, while you're at it. [WINK!!]
