[ Felicia usually dresses not to grab attention -- too much, anyway -- but at night it feels more appropriate to dress up slightly; she sits at the bar in a black and white striped dress with a black coat, buffing her nails idly with a file as she waits for Kate.

It's been a while since they've really ever done anything, or spent time alone together. Felicia meant it when she said she was starting to feel crazy, not getting out much. ]

Maybe we should go south. Plenty of beaches to choose from.

Just not Cancun.

Too many teens there. [ Not interested in the fratboy experience. ]

What about something smaller? Gives us some wiggle room. Mexico has a lot of nice villages.

[ And she's never been. ]

I could roll with that. Most of my travels have always been overseas.

[ She grabs her drink and takes a longer swig this time until there's barely any of her drink left. She lets out a pleasant sigh when she puts the glass down. Nothing like good alcohol to get her blood pumping. ]

I haven't really been out of the country. Except to Venezuela, but--

[ Well. She shrugs, leaning on the bar. That doesn't count. ]

I could be easy to please as long as it's somewhere warm.

[ Haha... ]

Venezuela had its perks. [ She doesn't want to dwell on that much.

She scoots off her chair and swallows the remainder of her drink, holding out her hand to lead Felicia back to the dance floor. ]

[ In the end they did stop somewhere to pick up blankets, because summer or not it's a little too cold (and uncomfortable) to go completely without. It's not a particularly windy night, though, and the view is spectacular. ]

I think whatever we do decide on, we should plan for a couple of alternatives. You never know what might happen.

[ She's thankful they picked up the blankets. It doesn't feel quite like summer these days, more like spring. She wouldn't complain, but it's a strange occurrence.

She stares at up the sky before saying anything. She's trying to make out constellations and ignore the penis on the moon. ]

Think we'll be banned from more places?

[ Felicia pulls one of the blankets over her shoulders, looking out over the lights of the City. ]

Mm. Hard to say.

Not right away. Something has to happen first.

[gevurah]

I'd hope not. [ She pulls her legs in, tucking them under her chin. She must look silly, all bundled up in a blanket like a child. ]

It's beautiful. [ She nods skyward. ] Makes you feel kind of small, doesn't it?

Even if they do-- our luck isn't so bad they'll choose our vacation spot first.

[ At least hers isn't; not usually. She pulls the blanket a little tighter as she sits back, tilting her head up to look where Kate's looking. ]

Too small to be seen. I always liked that feeling.

[gevurah]

[ Kate wove in and out of wanting attention and wanting to stay out of sight. As Kate Kane, she didn't always have the leisure of staying out of the spotlight -- heiress and frequent player in the party scene does that. ]

I feel even smaller just knowing this place is just one of, what, hundreds of other worlds out there? [ It's sort of amazing.

Sort of frightening, too.

She won't ever admit that. ]

[ Felicia tips her eyes back downward; it's a little unnerving to her, too. She's still coming to terms with it, even having been here as long as she has, experiencing the things she had. ]

Still a little hard to believe. [ She exhales slowly, though it's not quite cold enough for her breath to fog in the air. ] Sometimes I think I liked it better when I thought we were all alone.

[ It's funny to Kate -- it's not as if her home is the sole planet out there. Humans aren't the only people on the planet. The Justice League has aliens on it. Good aliens. Better than some humans beings down in Gotham.

Being here though, it's facing that fact everyday that makes it all the more stranger for her. ]

You don't have aliens from another planet or reptilian criminals back home? [ She half-jokes. ]

Both. [ Sort of. ] Rumor has it, at least. I stay away from of most of that nonsense.

[ She sits back further, stretching out her legs a little. ]

Not exactly the same as entire universes.

[gevurah]

With [ she's apprehensive about using this word, though she's not quite sure how else to put it ] clones of our friends and family.

Alternate universes. [ She hasn't met anyone who claimed to know her in any way yet. It does get her to wonder if Kate Kane exists somewhere else out there. ]

I know I was here once in the past. Wonder if I -- she -- was from another Gotham sometimes.

Right.

[ Felicia had met the other Kate, but briefly. Not enough to really know anything, though she's not sure if she should mention it. ]

I know people here who knew a different me. I'm sure it was disappointing -- but I also knew a different them. How do you really imagine there being another you out there somewhere, living your life?

[ She looks upward again, frowning slightly. ]

[gevurah]

[ She doesn't allow anyone's expectations to stop her from anything, but the thought has crossed her mind once or twice. ]

What sort of life.

[ Happier? Sadder? Richer? Poorer? Is Beth alive and sane in one of those worlds? Is her mother? Not knowing is daunting. ]

Makes you wonder what keeps you the same person. What needs to change to make you someone different you only share a name with?

[ She sighs, twirling a lock of hair around her finger. ]

Then again. That's pretty much what they are.

[gevurah]

I'm surprised there's never been more than one of us from these other worlds at the same time.

Maybe there can't be. Seems like that's one of the only consistent rules around here.

For the better -- what would we do if we had to meet ourselves?

[gevurah]

[ Kate shakes her head, finally stretching her legs out. ]

No real way to find out until it happens.

Right.

[ Conversely, Felicia pulls her legs in and rests her chin on her knees. ]

Might as well let the rhetorical stay that way until further notice. No one likes an identity crisis.

[gevurah]

[ Been there, done that. ]

I don't break easy, at least.

I don't think you do either.

[ She smirks, sitting up a little straighter. ]

I'm not worried. I just hate an inconvenience.
