she wants the silence but fears the solitude
WHO: FELICIA HARDY and KATE KANE
WHERE: Around the City!!
WHEN: Evening into the night.
WARNINGS: Probably nothing.
SUMMARY: Felicia and Kate get down to some real bonding.
FORMAT: Whatever.
[ Felicia usually dresses not to grab attention -- too much, anyway -- but at night it feels more appropriate to dress up slightly; she sits at the bar in a black and white striped dress with a black coat, buffing her nails idly with a file as she waits for Kate.
It's been a while since they've really ever done anything, or spent time alone together. Felicia meant it when she said she was starting to feel crazy, not getting out much. ]

lmao icon...
Felicia's one of the few people in the City who's never managed to rile her up or get under her skin. That seemed rare.
She slips by Felicia's side, tapping her shoulder lightly to greet her. She's dressed in her signature colours, with a backless camisole and three quarter red pants. ]
Sorry, I'm late.
no subject
No, I was early.
What're you drinking?
no subject
I have no idea why we don't do this more often. I think I've been around men too much lately.
no subject
[ She smirks again, ordering herself a simple martini before she leans her elbow on the bar. ]
Fun ones?
no subject
In their own ways.
no subject
That's better than nothing. Boring men are pretty useless. [ She sits back. ] Still, I agree. Nice to get out.
no subject
Especially with someone who knows how to have fun. [ The guys never want to dance nor do they want to crowd surf. ]
no subject
[ Their drinks are brought out relatively quickly -- it's early enough that business isn't too packed yet -- and Felicia takes a quick sip of hers. ]
But at least you're keeping busy.
no subject
Only way to pass the time in this place.
[ She reaches back for her glass, pausing midway. ]
Almost two years now.
no subject
[ She fingers her glass idly and turns it, letting the liquor mix. ]
no subject
Keeping track couldn't hurt.
no subject
[ She takes another sip of her drink, then plucks out the olive and chews it. ]
no subject
Of course, she did think of them as prisoners here. She pushes aside the thought, not wanting to dampen the mood tonight. Not this early either. ]
Guess so.
By the way, the forecast tonight is going to be nice.
no subject
We'll have to up pretty high to see the stars. You know cities. [ She puts her drink down. ] Better that it not be slippery, I can't say no to a clear night.
no subject
no subject
Though I'm sure you do too.
[ Another sip of her drink, bigger so as to finish it off. ]
Want to dance?
no subject
Please.
no subject
[ Felicia stands and offers Kate her hand, ready to bounce her way out to the dance floor. Bars without them, she finds boring -- she doesn't go out just to drink, but to have a good time. ]
We can't let the alcohol sit for too long.
no subject
If we do, I promise then next round's on me.
no subject
[ Not that one drink is enough to make her tipsy, but that isn't the point. The point is to go crazy while they're up and music is blasting. ]
no subject
One day [ she has to shout so Felicia can even hear her ] I have to find out if The 69 Eyes is ever coming on tour here.
no subject
[ Felicia sashays her hips, moving a little closer to Kate once other women begin to crowd the floor around them. ]

[ As long as it wasn't England or any other imBargoed country, of course. ]
A real vacation would do everyone some good.
no subject
I can't make up my mind on where I'd want to go. [ Not really a lie. ]
