[ Felicia usually dresses not to grab attention -- too much, anyway -- but at night it feels more appropriate to dress up slightly; she sits at the bar in a black and white striped dress with a black coat, buffing her nails idly with a file as she waits for Kate.

It's been a while since they've really ever done anything, or spent time alone together. Felicia meant it when she said she was starting to feel crazy, not getting out much. ]

[ She can feel herself getting a little warmer on the floor. She pushes back her hair, enjoying a very faint wind against her bare neck. ]

I like this idea. I think we ought to see if anyone else would be up for it.

Should we invite the spouses?

[ Felicia spins, changing directions every few turns. She's not moving fast enough to get dizzy, but her hair does fan out behind her. ]

Or is that over-complicating things?

[gevurah]

[ OH.

A split-second pause and Kate is off balance -- just in that fleeting moment.

A vacation with Edward Nygma. ]

I was thinking more along the lines of the female persuasion. [ She adores Felicia, but she can't say the same for Eddie, unfortunately. ]

[ Felicia laughs a little -- she knows that Eddie isn't necessarily the favorite person among her friend-circle, but it was worth asking. If Kate brings along Helena, though... ]

Maybe if we each brought along another friend as our "plus one."

[gevurah]

[ And then she feels bad.

She'll have to think about this more. ]

Well, it's an idea, right? We can discuss it another day when we'll be sober.

Probably a better plan.

A good idea, though. I've been getting restless lately.

[gevurah]

Then -- [ she extends her hand to Felicia just to twirl her a little ] -- we dance out all the restlessness and try not to fall asleep on rooftops after.

We can sleep on the rooftops and just hope it doesn't rain.

[ Felicia takes Kate's hand twirls closer, so their shoulders press against each other briefly. ]

[gevurah]

[ She keeps her eyes on Felicia, smirking a little to herself. ]

We should have brought blankets.

Or a tent.

I'm sure we could find at least one of those things if we put our mind to it. Blankets can't be that hard to come by.

[ She spins again, slowly, to Kate's other side. ]

[gevurah]

I hope your plan isn't to pull one out of the dumpster. [ Or a homeless person. ]

Maybe just Bed, Bath & Beyond.

[ Better that they don't have to pay. ]

[gevurah]

[ Too morally uptight to even do something like that. It's easy to read on her when her dancing slows down momentarily. ]

I thought we weren't getting up to trouble like that.

[ Felicia looks at her, then glances outward toward the rest of the floor. ]

There's bound to be some place open. We could buy a blanket.

[gevurah]

Probably. [ Her gaze trails to the bar where they had been sitting, noting the drinks have been left untouched, but there are a few more men sitting there than there had been before. ] Another round?

[acrossyourpath]

Let's do. We may as well get our fill before we go and paint the town.

[ She brushes her hair back again, taking a deep breath -- she's not winded, but breathing a little harder from the dancing -- before she bounces back toward the bar. ]

[gevurah]

[ She could stay on the dance floor all night, but she can't resist having herself another fill before her adrenaline really gets pumping. She smooths down her hair and leans against the bar, ordering a Jack and coke now for herself.

She only pushes the glasses they were drinking from before toward the bartender as they take them off their hands. Even in the most exclusive nightclubs back home, one could never be too careful. ]

Nobody's expecting you back by curfew, right? [ Helena will be on patrol all night most likely and Nill knows not to wait up for Kate. ]

[ Felicia asks for a schnapps, leaning against the bar with her elbows as she keeps an eye on the man mixing the drinks. She glances back at Kate after another moment. ]

Mm? Oh, no. We don't even have a curfew.

[gevurah]

Free to come and go as you please? [ There's a hint of surprise in her tone; she hadn't expected that from Eddie. ]

[acrossyourpath]

We both are. [ She shrugs a little, letting her fingers drum against the table. ] Conflicting schedules sometimes, it keeps things uncomplicated.

[gevurah]

He must have a lot to deal with at City Hall. [ At least he hasn't snapped like the other Gothamites. If there's one Gotham Rogue that Kate has the least bit of hope in to stay relatively sane, it's Eddie. ]

[acrossyourpath]

Late hours. Long weeks. It's a miracle we ever manage to see each other.

[ It's not with a bitter tone, though. Just lighthearted acceptance. ]

[gevurah]

[ As the bartender slides over her glass, she takes a proper seat on the stool and thinks back to the days she was still seeing Renee. ]

That's why they have sick days.

[acrossyourpath]

Supposedly they do. He doesn't get sick often.

[ She smirks, taking her own glass and taking a generous sip. ]

But we make the most of our time.

[gevurah]

[ That's actually kind of nice to hear. She only believes Felicia deserves the best, after all. She takes a quick slip, grabbing a napkin to dab a little around her lips, careful not to smudge her lipstick. ]

I wish Helena took days off. Maybe a vacation really is in order.
