As you enter through the doors of the Danger Room, the sound of cicadas chirping clues you into your arrival to a tropical paradise. Red and orange lights show a room transformed, vines all along the walls and trees that seem to reach the beyond the ceiling. There's no doubt now, you're deep in the heart of the jungle. You can almost feel the heat of a distant volcano, the humidity wafting in from a river just outside, but that's only your imagination. Luckily, someone had the foresight to bring an exterminator into this jungle beforehand, as there isn't a bug in sight.

Fierce papier mache dinosaurs look down on your throughout the room, some perhaps planning their next meal, others regarding the intruders to their home with something not unlike fear. From the stage, the gleaming jaws of a downed Tyrannosaurus look on at the partiers, hungry even in its taxidermied stated.

But there's one ornament that stands above them all: the mirrored surface of what appears to be a pterodactyl man, reflecting the lights all across the room in ways most disco balls only wish they could.

Welcome to the Savage Land. Hope you survive the experience!

Sometimes, but most of the time I just try to keep whatefur I need to stuff that can fit in my pockets.

[she shrugs a little]

Backpacks aren't really good fur moving fast.

[professorlionface]

Actually, as a tip from a professional, they are much better for it.

[He puts his hands at his sides, flapping them about to mimic something moving.] Pockets, especially on a coat like that, tend to knock about when full. A backpack is designed to stay firm on your back, and a good one will rest in a way that distributes the weight effectively.

That way, you have a good carriage method that works well with your need to move, in whatever direction or orientation you may be doing so.

Can you stack carcasses neatly in one, though? [IMPORTANT QUESTIONS THAT MUST BE ANSWERED BEFORE SHE GOES SHOPPING]

[professorlionface]

[Trolls.]

Uh.

That depends on what they're carcasses of.

[shipper]

Possums and raccoons, mostly. Purrobably a few pigeons sometimes if I catch more than I can stick in my pockets.

[professorlionface]

Well, ah. Yes. I would dare say one could. Certainly better than you might otherwise, if you only had your pockets.

[He's no longer sure how he got into this discussion.]

It's not too bad most of the time, but I defurnitely wouldn't say no to being able to carry more at once! The bloodstains make some of my furiends a little mad.

[well, mostly Kanaya whose opinion she no longer really wants to think about. but she's gotten some funny looks from strangers about them too, so it's apparently a good idea to limit them a little]

I imagine they would unsettle just about anyone, really. No one likes to see a young girl walk around covered in blood that may well be her own.

I'd be a purretty poor huntress if I were covered in my own blood! [she laughs] But I guess that kind of thing's beclaws humans don't really get their own food, huh?

[professorlionface]

Well, not in the city, at least. Rural areas are more likely to practice hunting, largely because there's more there to hunt, I suppose.

It's simply how the infrastructure works. Necessity versus availability.

[shipper]

It's really boring. [and she pulls a face to underline her point]

[professorlionface]

I guess it could be, if that's the only activity you were interested in pursuing.

Have you considered any other kinds of hobbies, if that one hasn't been as easy to practice here?

[shipper]

[her cheeks puff out a little]

Yeah, but it's purretty hard to rolepurrlay when you can't find anyone to purrlay with you. I do a lot of drawing, though.

[professorlionface]

Drawing is a good way to express yourself creatively, yes. I'd certainly recommend focusing on that one.

Do you not have any friends to "roleplay" with? Some of the other trolls, maybe?

[shipper]

I do! There's soooo many diffurent kinds of drawing materials here compurred to home, I want to try them all.

[and her local craft store has given up trying to make her pay for most of it, so]

None of my furiends who're here from home are the ones who purrlay with me. There were a couple in the City fur a while but they got sent back purretty quickly.

[professorlionface]

Sad to hear about your friends. Sometimes they just aren't as interested in your pursuits as you wish.

[He's known that one since he was small, trying to talk science only to meet blank stares. It's a terrible shame.]

Which drawing materials have you found most to your liking so far?

[shipper]

I really like charcoals beclaws I used them at home! And pastels are fun although I don't usually really use colors that like very often.

[she chews on her lip, thinking a bit more]

And purretty much any kind of paint! But I think I like oils and acrylics best. They're waaay purrettier than the paints at home.

[professorlionface]

Pastels can be nice colors, I think they would be worth giving a try more often. What were the paints you had at home like?

[shipper]

They were eifur made out of grubs or blood, so you could only get certain colors with them. Anything else I had to mix up myself or just do without.

[professorlionface]

[He really should have seen that coming.]

Well, I'm sure you must really enjoy the variety our local methods provide, then.

[shipper]

It's purretty great! Although I'd purrobably have been drawing just as much even if you didn't have so many diffurent kinds.

[professorlionface]

It's still better this way, I think. Your options are open, and your output has a more expanded potential because of it.

[shipper]

And there's way more people I can show them to!

[professorlionface]

That's also true!

As a matter of fact, I think I could be interested in seeing some of your work, if you'd ever like to make an exhibition of it.

[shipper]

I don't think they're really good enough fur an exhibition or anything, but I'd be really happy to draw you stuff!
