As you enter through the doors of the Danger Room, the sound of cicadas chirping clues you into your arrival to a tropical paradise. Red and orange lights show a room transformed, vines all along the walls and trees that seem to reach the beyond the ceiling. There's no doubt now, you're deep in the heart of the jungle. You can almost feel the heat of a distant volcano, the humidity wafting in from a river just outside, but that's only your imagination. Luckily, someone had the foresight to bring an exterminator into this jungle beforehand, as there isn't a bug in sight.

Fierce papier mache dinosaurs look down on your throughout the room, some perhaps planning their next meal, others regarding the intruders to their home with something not unlike fear. From the stage, the gleaming jaws of a downed Tyrannosaurus look on at the partiers, hungry even in its taxidermied stated.

But there's one ornament that stands above them all: the mirrored surface of what appears to be a pterodactyl man, reflecting the lights all across the room in ways most disco balls only wish they could.

Welcome to the Savage Land. Hope you survive the experience!

[ she keeps going, giving him a smile as she moves her focus to how he's moving. ]

That's okay, take your time. You'll get the hang of it.

Do we even have enough time? [Whoa, be careful there! He almost steps on her foot.]

[ she casually slips her foot a little further back from him, only losing the beat a little before she manages to find it again. ]

We have at least to the end of this song, but you can always try another if this one doesn't work for you.

[ she has another idea, and holds her hands out for him. ] Here, take my hands. We can try to move at the proper rhythm together.

[Take her hands? He stares at them, clearly hesitating. Eventually though he holds onto them. Awkwardly.]

[ now that she's got a hold of him, she gives a slight tug with each step she takes. ]

There, now follow along with me, see?

[Slowly, slowly moving along with her.] Am I doing this correctly?

[ she gives him a wide smile with a light laugh. ]

You're getting there, Astral. Soon enough we may even be able to quicken the pace!

Quicken the pace? [OH HELL NO] Why would we do that? This is fine the way it is.

The idea is the match the tempo of the song. At the moment, we're lagging rather behind.

[ and they are. she was hoping that holding his hands would keep him in pace with her, but it's only had the opposite effect while he's still getting the hang of it. ]

If we slow down enough we should be able match the tempo every three or four steps. [Astral has no idea what he's saying, but it sounds logical enough.] So, we don't have to match its pace exactly...

[ she lets out another laugh. ]

But you'll never learn that way! The idea is to adapt ourselves, not to find the easiest loophole. No awards are given for shoddy work!

[A frustrated noise!! Stop laughing at him...] But I don't know what I'm doing.

[ well he should stop being silly first! ]

You won't really need to, starting out. But you have to progress, to challenge yourself. Venture out into the unknown that you can identify it.

Kattobing? [Katto-what?]

Possibly... [ she has no idea what that means, but assumes it must be something similar to what she just said. ]

[He can kattobing!! He's more inspired and trying to quicken his pace.]

[ she matches him without missing a beat, keeping her eyes on his feet. ]

There you have it, I think you're getting the hang of this! [ she darts her foot out of the way quickly to avoid a collision, laughing again. ] Be careful now.

[At least somebody's watching, because he's going to end up stepping on toes eventually. Or trip. Or... something else utterly ridiculous.] I will be careful.

[ she let's this go for a while, flicking her eyes between his face and feet. eventually, she looks him right in the ways. she thinks he may be ready to switch up a bit. ]

Alright, in just a moment I'm going to let go of your hands. Can you handle that?

I will try.

Alright, let's give it a go.

[ she slips her hands out of his, taking a step back and clasping them in front of her stomach, moving her shoulders into her rhythm and watching his carefully. ]

[Instantly lost on what he's supposed to... But he's going to try, anyway. The rhythm shouldn't be too hard to get into, he moves his hands close to his chest.]

[ she just keeps watching him, dancing on her own but giving him a big, expectant grin. come on bro, you got this. ]

[So... he should step like this, and do this, too? But it's not on mark with the music... But wait, he could catch up if he steps right now on this particular beat...

He's really awful at this, wow.]

[ she lets out a little giggle, follows it with a little lie. if he gets discouraged, he might give up, and that won't be any good. ]
