Cameron Phillips. Her name is all over his journal he found in 'his' room. Her phone number is on his phone, on notebooks, on forms. So who the hell is that, and why?

"You're welcome." Wondering at that pause. "Yeah?"

"Yes." She's not going to volunteer more information Kyle so you're going to have to ask.

Oh, he will. Curiosity, all that. "Why is that?"

"Because you are family."

That's...a shock, isn't it? "Really. Guess that explains his reaction to Derek."

"If it is the same John I know, he had known Derek for a while." Not really saying which of them he's closer to, is she?

She's not, and he finds that interesting. Though, he's not sure he wants to know why. "Derek trust him?"

Don't ask Kyle because Cameron might not tell you. "In a way. He thought he was too young for the responsibility, I believe."

"The responsibility?"

"In a particular timeline he grew up to become the leader of the Resistance. His mother became aware of this prior to his birth. It shaped his entire childhood."

"The leader, huh. Wonder what changed."

"How old was the John you encountered?"

"Seventeen, maybe eighteen. Young."

"Becoming displaced at that age would explain the change. If he wasn't around for Judgment Day, there is no way he could have become a leader in the Resistance."

"I'll have to ask him. When I get back."

"He might not be certain. It all depends on the circumstances surrounding his displacement." Another frown as she goes over possibilities. "If he is looking for me, don't let him."

He blinks at that, sitting up a little. "Why not?"

"Because the Cameron in your timeline and I would not be the same person. The risk is too great. If I exist in your timeline, I will find him. Otherwise it is a bad idea."

"And you're sure he'll listen?"

"No, I am not. In fact, I am certain he won't. Not about that."

"But you want me to stop him anyway."

"I would appreciate your assistance, yes."

"And if he doesn't listen, what then?"

"Explain it to Allison Young and have her intervene."

"Explain what, exactly?"
