WHO: [livejournal.com profile] violentsoftie, [livejournal.com profile] lovemedangit, and probably at some point [livejournal.com profile] insourarmor
WHERE: wherever the wind blows Mytho teleports.
WHEN: Shortly after this comm post.
WARNINGS: nope
SUMMARY: Hiei makes a deal with Fakir and goes out to find the mysteriously missing Mytho! Alliteration.
FORMAT: Hooooow about some paragraph at least to start.

It was easy enough to feel out Mytho with the Jagan eye, Hiei found, since he had spent time around the boy before. Now it was just a matter of following the "signal" and taking him to Fakir. So he did so, dancing in and out of shadow as he moved quickly enough to be a blur to the sharpest of eyes.

Patience or no patience, Mytho was not budging. The haunted, crazed look was returning. "Fakir...."

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
A slow, strange smile spread over Mytho's lips. "He'll die if he fights the Raven again... just like in the story... I wonder if that will make him happy...."

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
"But he failed... He was supposed to protect me, but instead, he was torn apart without even getting near his enemy... isn't that funny...?"

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Is he...?" Mytho laughed, shoulders shaking.

Fakir had been watching, but not hearing, this exchange through the bakery window since he noticed Mytho following this person up the street.

After some consideration and hesitation, he decided to step out of the store and cross the street to meet them. Mytho was hesitating, stalling in the street and muttering about something. He couldn't trust Hiei to bring him, not when he was acting this way.

"Mytho!" he called, hurrying across the street, ever mindful of the damned cars.

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Mytho nearly jerked at his name, turning slowly to see where Fakir was approaching. "Fakir..."

He reached for his wrist, scratching at the back of it.

To his relative unease, Fakir realized that he wasn't entirely put off by the familiar voice in his head. Living with Obi-Wan had left him more than used to mental prodding, and a voice wasn't so different from what he was normally subject to. Could he respond in kind? Best to at least try.

'He's probably afraid. Just give me a minute.'

Still, Mytho's expression wasn't suggestive of fear. Fakir... didn't really know what to call that look. He stepped closer to Mytho, reaching out a hand. "Mytho. Come here. Let's go home."

The boy gave a soft laugh that was... decidedly not right. "..Home...? Back to the story, Fakir...? Do you know how to get there...?"

[identity profile] insourarmor.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Fakir nearly recoiled at that sound. Far from the Raven Prince's maniacal snickering, the laughter sounded almost sick. Certainly twisted, but not devilish.

"Back to our home first," he said, trying to keep his tone level and calm, not pleading or distressed, as he reached for Mytho's hand. He just had to get a hold on him, worry about what was wrong once he was safe inside. "If we can go back to the story, I'll find a way and go with you. Back to the story, or anywhere else. Just come with me."

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Mytho made no moves to take it, continuing to scratch at his wrist in an almost distracted way. "You'll die again if you go back... and leave me alone like you did before..."

[identity profile] insourarmor.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're wrong," Fakir said a little too forcefully as he grabbed Mytho's wrist, pulling him forward. "I won't leave you alone. You said it yourself, I'm not the same as the knight in the story. It doesn't have to be the same."

'Be ready to grab him if he runs.'

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Mytho startled slightly, looking at Fakir with very wide eyes that still didn't seem to focus.

[identity profile] insourarmor.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Come on," Fakir said, repressing a shudder as he tugged Mytho's hand. "Everyone's worried."

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Everybody...?" Mytho said with that same small, disturbed laugh. "No one's here but you and Krahe...."

[identity profile] insourarmor.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ben is worried," Fakir spat. "So are Ken, and Ryan, and all the others." He pulled at Mytho's hand again, trying to lead him across the street. "I'm upset that Duck is gone, too. But she wouldn't want you out on your own, either, not like this."

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"What would she care...? She vanished even with out speaking of her love..." Mytho shifted to scratching at his arm above where Fakir held him. "Without Tutu... what can any of you do?"

[identity profile] insourarmor.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Fakir swatted the scratching hand away. "I don't know. I don't know what we can do, but there must be something."

[identity profile] lovemedangit.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Mytho shook his head. "Tutu abandoned me again... and my heart isn't here... There's nothing any one can do... This is where the story ends, Fakir... My heart is being eaten by the Raven's blood..."

[identity profile] insourarmor.livejournal.com 2010-03-14 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
That was enough. Fakir had no answers, and couldn't stand to hear any more, so he scowled and gave Mytho's arm a sharp tug, setting off to haul him across the street.
