SUMMARY: Hiei makes a deal with Fakir and goes out to find the mysteriously missing Mytho! Alliteration.
FORMAT: Hooooow about some paragraph at least to start.

It was easy enough to feel out Mytho with the Jagan eye, Hiei found, since he had spent time around the boy before. Now it was just a matter of following the "signal" and taking him to Fakir. So he did so, dancing in and out of shadow as he moved quickly enough to be a blur to the sharpest of eyes.

As expected, Mytho was in the park, near the duck pond.

Unexpectedly, however, the ducks seemed to want nothing to do with him, even as he tried to coax them over, bread in his shaking hands.

Though truly, it was easy to see why they were avoiding him. Maybe it was the eyes that were just a touch too wide that seemed to lack focus, or the odd tone his voice had as he called, but it was pretty clear there was something not quite right with the boy.

Hiei came to rest a little ways behind him, slowing to a normal walk in order to approach with causing Mytho alarm.

"Mytho," he said, voice low and calm. If he was lucky, Mytho would come with him simply because he was remembered; if not, he would have to try a different approach.

The boy turned, looking back at Hiei, seeming to almost be looking through him than at him.

"Come--" Hiei sighed, remembering that Mytho didn't speak Japanese, then spoke directly to his mind instead. It was risky, but getting him back to his keeper was the important thing at the moment.

"Mytho, come here. It's too late to be outside."

Mytho simply blinked at him a moment. "... you're not the Raven Prince..."

"No. I'm the man that helped you feed the birds last week."

Hiei remained still, waiting for Mytho to come to him.

There was no indication Mytho was at all going to move from where he was still couched. "... why are you in my head if you're not him...?"

He idly scratched at the back of his wrist.

Hiei didn't mind that; he was capable of being very patient when he needed to be.

"It's just a skill of mine. Will you come inside?"

"Where the Blood is...?" Mytho asked with a small, unsteady smile. "I don't have to fight him anymore... it doesn't hurt like this... Kraehe was right..." he giggled, the laugh shaking his slender frame before his shoulders slumped. "But birds won't come when I call any more..." he lamented, looking down at the bread.

"They know it's late out, time to stay at home." His speech was reasonable, soothing.

"... home...?"

"Yes, their home is the pond. Where's yours?"

Mytho was silent a long moment. ".... I don't know..."

"Then let's go look for it."

This supposed search would, of course, end at the bakery.

Another long silence. ".... I can't go back into the story without all of my heart...."

"Then surely you must take some initiative and search for it."

"It's not here!" Mytho suddenly yelled, making the ducks in the pond scatter and fly away. He looked up, eyes huge and almost pained as he reached out after them. "No... come back...."

Hiei didn't flinch from his yell; rather, he took the opportunity to step closer to Mytho.

"Come," he repeated, calm as ever. "We'll look together."

Mytho didn't seem to even hear him, falling on his hands and knees, trembling. "Come back...Duck.. Tutu... come back...."

Hiei stifled a sigh. He found this sort of thing highly annoying, but he had agreed to do it and the pay wasn't shabby.

So he walked up to Mytho, hands visible, though he didn't speak again.

Mytho didn't respond, hair hiding his eyes.

"Mytho," he said aloud, offering Mytho a hand up.

The boy looked up, expression utterly helpless and lost.

"Take my hand." In this state, Hiei hoped that a simple command would do.

Mytho hesitated before very shakily reaching out.
