James prides himself on managing to get a date out of almost any scenario, so getting Selina over for dinner just because of an original talk of grenades is a win in his books. Even if they are just doing the 'friend' thing, which he can't say he's too worried about.

He's managed to be alone in his apartment for the evening, spending the last hour or so cleaning himself up and changing into smart casual attire, because even at home James likes to be well presented to the ladies.

And so when Selina arrives, he's ready to buzz her and open his door invitingly.

There's a slight smile as he settles himself, already reaching for his wine glass as he nods a vague thank you, "I wouldn't say much until you've actually eaten it. Don't judge a book by it's cover and all that..."

"I'd better not get food poisoning. I do know where you live for the moment." She cuts a delicate bite of salmon. Mmm, not bad at all.

"I'll remember to move tomorrow, in that case," he smirks in return taking a long drink of his wine, then going for the food, far less delicate in his manner but still with well mannered eating habits.

Selina's attention drifts to the wine and food. It is quite enjoyably good. And she isn't one to speak with her mouth full.

It's basic, homely food, but cooked well. If he'd had the time or inclination, he would have gone for something a little more impressive, but he's not trying to win Selina over so the effort's saved for another day.

He eats his meal fairly quickly and manages to get through several glasses of wine in the process, but his alcohol intake shouldn't really come as a surprise.

"You know, you're one of the first I've cooked for since I've been in this city."

Selina eats a bit slower because hey, the food is actually decent even if it is simple. She also goes through a bit less wine than he does.

"'One of?' Well, I'll be flattered anyway." And she is a bit, if only because she's not actually sleeping with him.

"One of," he confirms with a nod and a smirk. There's been others, but a very small amount. It's saved for the ones close to his heart. The fact Selina has never actually climbed into bed with him doesn't really seem to change much. "You certainly should be flattered. It makes you special."

"Well, as long as I'm special." She finishes her last bite, swallows it down with her last sip of wine. "And you have those grenades."

All smiles, of course.

A slow smile as he reaches to pour himself more wine, topping up her glass while he's at it. "And if I don't have those grenades...?"

Her return smile is a little cruel. "Tony lost his car when he pulled a stunt like that. I'd just have to see what I can take from you of similar value."

"Well, it's a good job I stayed true to my word then, isn't it?" His smirk in return contains it's usual smug as he takes a savouring sip of his wine. He hadn't forgotten Tony's stunt, in fact, and although it's something Bond would be likely to do himself, he knows better than to do it to some. Especially Selina.

"Good for you, yes." Her smile shifted to something a bit more pleasant. "Besides, I'd question our friendship if you went back on your word."

He holds a hand to his at that, "I never go back on my word." Which is mostly true. He may be many things, but untrustworthy isn't one of them. His word is something he sticks by when possible, especially to those he's loyal to.

Selina can't exactly say the same, although she is more loyal than she'd give herself credit for. As much as a cat can be, anyway. "You even cooked," she admitted with a smile.

"I even cooked," he agrees, perhaps just a little too much of a dog at times, heavily loyal, lover of affection, heavy barker and chaser of sticks.

James moves to take the dirty plates and stands to carry them back to the kitchen counter, leaving them there for some other time as he makes his way back to the table. "So what sort of grenades were you after again?"

And Selina would always and forever deny any dog comparisons to anyone she considered a friend. "Something small, localized damage. Not looking to take out any bystanders."

She was curious as to what James had, who his suppliers were. That was the main reason she'd taken up his offer instead of turning to her ordinary sources.

"Right, well, fragmentation is out then. Looking to kill or disarm?" He doesn't even bother to sit back down, instead jerking his head towards the bedroom in invitation, though it's not his usual bed time invitation.

She followed him into the bedroom. "Disarm." It would be easy enough for her to make something like that plenty lethal. Phasing it into someone's skull, for example.

"Disarm only, hm? Well that's half of them out. Something with low collateral damage and not deadly...?" There's a large wooden cupboard against one wall that he puts his back against, shoving it aside to reveal a sliding door, no doubt the apartment's walk-in wardrobe, but used by Bond as his stash. It's got briefcases of money and drugs, several more rifles and handguns and a few cases that he carefully pulls out, opening up the lid to one as he slides it over to her.

"Stingers. Like fragmentations but you're looking at rubber pellets rather than shrapnel. These will hit others in the area, but they won't be going home with more than a few bruises. Or..." Reaching for another case.

Selina raises an eyebrow at the selection. "Must be a pain to keep finding new apartments with hidden compartments," she murmured as he opened the new case.

"I use what I can get. Attics, basements, floorboards, walk-ins, en-suites. All depends," he points out, retrieving the other crate and showing the contents.

"Flashbangs. Though I've got more deadly if you need it. Anything from concussion, to anti-tank. You name it."

Selina had done similar in the past, so she she understood how it went. "I think a few stingers and a few flashbangs would work. I'll let you know if I run into any tanks in the future."

"Hm, some of these imports likely need anti-tanks to stop them. All this super strength and whatever else."

The two cases are left out, while he puts everything else back where it should be. "Take what you want of those. All of them if you really need. I don't use stingers and the flashbangs are easy to get more of."

Selina transfers about half of the flashbangs to the stinger case. She could clean him out, but she's feeling generous tonight. "Glad I could make your next move a little easier," she tells him with a hint of a grin.

There's a slight smirk in return while he clears away the last of the flashbangs, waits until they're both out of the way and then shuts the door, pushing the wardrobe back into place. "You can help me move tomorrow as repayment."
