WHO: Matt, Wanda, & Pietro
WHERE: Restaurant Row, Manhattan
WHEN: May 18th, around 12:30pm
SUMMARY: Matt is going to meet Wanda and her "friend" for lunch to discuss her recent cash winnings in Vegas.
WARNINGS: None atm?
FORMAT: Quick/whatever
[Matt's been hanging around the corner of 46th Street and 9th Avenue for a solid 10 minutes, waiting for Wanda and her friend to arrive. He's at a bit of a disadvantage, its true, being a blind man waiting to meet a pair of strangers he's only conversed with over the phone-communicator-whatever the hell it's called. She and her friend could be standing right there in front of him, and he wouldn't necessarily know them from any other pedestrians buzzing around.
He looks mildly bored, leaning up against a street lamp, trying to kill some more time. Maybe he should have told Wanda he was blind. That might have helped. But oh well, it's done now. The waiting game begins.]

I don't actually... know exactly what he looks like.
[How had she not realized that this would be a problem until now?]
no subject
And you didn't think to ask? Well, he should be looking for us as well, no?
no subject
Ms. Maximoff? Wanda?

Mr. Murdock! Hello!

It's a pleasure to meet you. And please, Matt is just fine.
[He tilts his head at Pietro, eyebrow arched slightly.]
You two didn't have any trouble finding me, I take it.
no subject
I hope you haven't been waiting long! I should have asked what you looked like, that was -- a bit silly of me.
[She twines one auburn curl around her finger as she smiles, a little sheepishly.]
no subject
Yes, but all is well that ends well, now, isn't it.
[If his tone is a little terse, it's entirely unrelated to that smile. Really.]
no subject
[Matt is intrigued by Pietro's tone, but won't bother to comment on it now. He's encountered men with shaky attitudes before, if it gets to be distracting, he'll deal with it later. So he gives a charming smile, and continues on with the agenda. There are lots of restaurants lining the street, so many food choices, so many lovely smells.]
Now that the issue of finding each other is out of the way, where would you like to go?
no subject
Oh, I've never been to this street before -- do you have any recommendations?
no subject
Something simple and, preferably, fast. If you wouldn't mind.
[He crosses his arms and screws up his face into something that totally isn't a pout.]
no subject
There's a deli a block down. I've never been there, but it smells nice. And I suspect sandwiches will be fast enough for you, friend.
no subject
That sounds perfect. If you'd lead us, Matt?
no subject
Yes, please, lead the way.
no subject
[There is very little fanfare as he heads off for the deli, walking slower than his usual pace, just to be sure that Wanda and her friend are following. The deli is open and inviting, and it smells amazing. There is bound to be something to suit everyone's appetites. It's one of those places where you can sit anywhere and order at the counter.]
no subject
It's perfect.
[She approaches the counter, already examining the menu thoughtfully.]
no subject
This is acceptable, yes. Should we order first, or find a table?
no subject
You two go ahead and order, I'll find us a seat.
[Which he does, heading toward the back of the deli, finding an empty table with enough chairs and room for the three of them.]
no subject
no subject
We should go find your friend.
[He's still displeased with just how friendly she's being, but... He just has to be better. That's all.]
no subject
So, shall we get down to business? I understand you've recently come into a great deal of money.
no subject
Ah.. yes, rather.
[Oh-so-casually, she pulls a folded check from her purse, flattening it out on the table and pushing it towards him.]
no subject
no subject
That's quite a bit of money there, Ms. Maximoff. And if I understood you correctly, you don't currently have a bank account?
[He sounds slightly skeptical. And he's also a little put off by Pietro. Perhaps it would be better if he knew who he was dealing with...]
I'm sorry sir, I didn't catch your name.
no subject
I have not been here very long.. and I always used my aunt's account, back home. We never needed much.
