A Night in West Egg

The guests into an auditorium transformed. Through the magic of papier mache, the room has been decked out like a speakeasy, the refreshments laid out on a very makeshift bar that will not stock alcohol as long as they can prevent it. The whole room is cast with a cool blue light, and a jazz band's been hired to take the stage for an hour before leaving the rest of the evening to the DJ.

It was time to get this party started.

[It's been a long night and Peter has consumed a lot of punch. Punch that isn't quite as non-alcoholic as he thinks it is. This might have something to do with why the DJ's next round of theme appropriate music inspires the normally dance-averse Mr. Parker to do his un-level best to get his Charleston on. And eventually a one-man version of the Lindy Hop.

The alcohol may have helped with his inhibitions, his spider-powers with his coordination, but there may be no salvaging that sense of rhythm.]

_{( Donna's been on the dance floor for a good portion of the night, but when she spots Peter now she has to stop and clutch her side. It's good-natured laughter, however, and eventually she'll make her way over to him. )}

Oh hey, Donna! You look lovely tonight. Or should I say copacetic? [Beaming at her, he reaches out and -- if she's willing -- tugs her into the dance with him.]

I didn't realize you were a man of so many talents.
