[It was Tom's first couple weeks running the bar, and, surprisingly, it had gone pretty well so far. The transition itself was a bit of a challenge, but once he'd become accustomed to it, it really wasn't so bad at all. In fact, he found himself even enjoying the work, even if it meant extra hours for the time being, since the promotion and port-outs lately meant that they were running a bit understaffed.

That wasn't why he was pulling other duties besides just managing the place, though. Working behind the bard was one of the best jobs he had, and he really enjoyed it. He got to talk to people at the bar (and occasionally have a drink or two himself). It was the social aspect that he liked, which was why, to maybe draw in a few new regular customers, he was offering free drinks for the week.]

I've got an interview for one as a waitress.

[she looks at him] I got used to having to look after myself Julian, I didn't have anyone paying for things for me when I was in New York. It felt normal to look for a job quickly.

[hellionated]

[ He's quiet for a minute.

...A long minute. ]

[ ..........Yeah.]

[ Then he nods, as if this decides everything. ]

Okay. Then I'll look for a job.

[ DId he actually just agree to that, God. ]

[she smiles and then laughs] sorry it's just your expression. It's like work is a bad word

It is! I don't even know what I'd do.

You could model, or teach sports?

[ That takes him by complete surprise. He blinks, and then grins. ]

[ No, no you aren’t. You’re just making him smile and lean in towards you so he can see those blushing cheeks better.

[yes very sure, this isn't helping changing her mind. She smiles and raises a playful eyebrow] You, embarrassed

[ With an air of great innocence ] Yeah, cause I'm so shy and retiring.

[ Pretending to look affronted but he can’t help smiling. ] I am! Beautiful, it’s like you don’t believe me.

Are you even capable of blushing?

[hellionated]

[ Interesting question. He looks like he's seriously considering that one. ]

Actually, I don't know. [ Smile ] I wouldn't hate you testing me on it.

[very innocently she slides her foot up his ankle] Really?

[hellionated]

[ No blushing, but that does make him stare at her.

Fine, Sofia. Fine. Two can play this game.

He brushes her hair back over her shoulder with his teke. ]

Yeah. Really.

[wind_dancer]

[Sofia dips her head, and watches him with amusement]

You weren't expecting me to try and make you blush like that?

[hellionated]

Maybe I wasn't. [ Don't mind him upping the ante, then. He leans forward to touch a fingertip to her cheek, draw it along a little and then drop his hand. ] But fair's fair, if you can do it so can I.

[Automatically, Sofia reaches for his hand and picks it up to draw light circles over the palm of it. She is willing herself not to blush] You can try, I still don't blush too easily.

[hellionated]

[ Oh, touche. He likes that. He will just move his other hand over and draw it down her arm, starting at her wrist. ] Neither do I. But you know, you're really cute when you do it.

[The touch on her arm is causing goosebumps, but she looks casually up at him while her fingers become lighter until her touches are feather light] You are the only one who has made me blush.
