[Jessica has been looking forward to this night for months. All day at school, all she could talk about (besides prom) was her impending birthday celebration. She just wants to dance and scream and have the best night of her life, for as happy as she is to finally be eighteen, she's also reminded that this is the second birthday she's celebrated without her twin sister. As she dressed for the evening she couldn't help but if wonder somewhere in the multiverse Elizabeth is celebrating their birthday too.

But those thoughts were quickly forgotten once she arrived at Tom's bar. After her first drink, all she could think about was how much fun she was going to have! Finally! She's legal! And she's heading for the dance floor to dance with any and everyone.]

[Rikku finds her just a little while after arriving, and wraps her arms around the other blonde's waist from behind.]

[Laura has been surveying the party for the most part, not very good at...any...aspect of socialization, but she's suddenly there as though she expects Jessica to topple over. But the question is innocent, just an excuse to be nearby to grab her if she falls.]

[Santo locates the birthday girl not long after Rikku.

[ Julian finds her while she's dancing, and mostly just sidles in alongside her. ]

[ Ce'Nedra has spoken to Jessica once, concerning this very party. She doesn't have many qualms about imposing on a near-stranger's birthday, but she does know it's good manners to speak to one's host, especially on an occasion honoring them.

So here is one small, redheaded girl, fashion slightly off so as to indicate that she's still getting used to current trends, coming to say hello.

The music is very loud. If she looks slightly unsettled, that's one of the reasons. You people and your loud, blinky places. ]

I suppose I should judge, it being your birthday, but-- This is really what you do for fun?

[Cassie just can't get the whole dancing/party/insanity thing. Maybe it's because birthdays for her were always just her and her Mom, maybe it's just because being in groups of people still intimidates her, maybe it's because she might just be the youngest person here, but who the hell cares. There's alcohol in her... whatever this is, she's passing out glow sticks, and when she's not doing that, she's off in a corner, watching the crowd and occasionally pulling out a sketchbook from her messenger bag to try and get some of the chaos on paper.]

Cassie! [Jessica bounces over to her. Somewhere along the way, she's managed to find a glow stick crown to wear.] Come dance!

[Charlie is suddenly there, plopping down next to her, with a soda in her hand. She looks...quite disappointed.]

[Kate actually doesn't really know Jessica either. It's one of those friend of a friend things that she kind of wound up at because it seems like half of the school is here.

That said, she's surprised to see Alex here, of all people. Seriously, what kind of bar lets a thirteen year old in? Yeah, the average age here is seventeen, but still...]

Technically, he's crashing the party right now, but it's not like anyone would really notice. There are a lot of people here and he could hide pretty easily.

Vic's got a clearly non-alcoholic drink in his hand right now, sort of sitting back, being sort of cool and watching everyone. Maybe he'll recognize someone he's already talked to?]

[April comes in two flavors tonight. Either happily hipster dancing in the werecat's bar and getting people to buy her free drinks, or leading (though very determined bullying and pointed insults) a mission out into the streets and to Central Park to celebrate a drunken revelry in proper style.

[By this point, Jess is so drunk she can barely stand up. She staggers over to April, grinning foolishly.]

[Rikku arrived just after the party officially started, all dressed up, but not enough to outshine the birthday girl. She wasn't about to try to steal the show from her friend. Santo was bound to draw quite a bit of attention by himself, anyway. She grabbed a drink as soon as she arrived--something fruity and sweet to start, she'd move on to something harder later--and surveyed the bar with a grin.]

[Laura is leaning against the bar, sipping a rum and coke that does nothing to her, and when Rikku turns up to grab her drink she offers the girl a nod. She only knows her in passing, really, as Santo's girlfriend, but that's enough for an acknowledgement.]

[ Julian had found Jessica dancing earlier, but he'd graduated to hanging at the bar since Santo was pretty much tearing that place up. Also, the last time he was at anything like this, he had real live hands, and not everyone here goes to the Institute. That means they haven't seen him looking like this before, so dancing isn't exactly on his mind right now.

Drinking is, though. He has one of Quentin's fake IDs in his pocket, and he's taking advantage right now. ]
