The guests into an auditorium transformed. Through the magic of papier mache, the room has been decked out like a speakeasy, the refreshments laid out on a very makeshift bar that will not stock alcohol as long as they can prevent it. The whole room is cast with a cool blue light, and a jazz band's been hired to take the stage for an hour before leaving the rest of the evening to the DJ.

It was time to get this party started.

We did dance. It might be more fun if some people in this room weren't watching my every move. I mean, I know I'm popular but there's a point where it gets ridiculous.

[ aradia shrugs. she is sooo done here, and isn't even sure what the point of this is! ...but there is something she kind of wants to ask ]

Okay, whatever. I guess I just want to know if you and John are dating now or something.

[fabricates]

[That is basically the last question she wanted to be asked right now.]

I really don't see how that's any of your business. Care to enlighten me on why I should actually answer that question?

I wanted to know because I think it would be good for you. John's a nice person who cares about people. [ and it would make vriska less intolerable if someone would teach her how to be nice but she bites back that part ]

[fabricates]

'Good for me'? [Her gaze narrows.]

Just what the hell is that supposed to mean?

[She knows what it means, and to an extent she would actually agree. But she'd never agree with it in front of a troll. She's not ready to show that sort of weakness.]

It means that maybe with John around, you wouldn't be so intolerable all the time! [ yeah screw holding back who needs it ]

[There goes the last bit of patience she had.]

Wow, I sure do need your judgment! Here, let me go find John and suddenly become more intolerable for your sake!! Because that's what really matters!

I was trying to say it was a good thing, because everyone else is so up in arms about it. But fine! I don't need to argue with you over this!

That's exactly the problem! Everyone is up in arms over this and it's none of their business in the first place! Everyone wants to meddle and fuss and get in my business.

It's not like only one person is able to meddle at once. But whatever, forget it!

I ain't meddled since I got here, but apparently you're in the same group with Kanaya in that Vriska can't possibly change from the image we have of her so lets keep up these great judgments about her that are totally bullshit!
