A Night in West Egg

The guests into an auditorium transformed. Through the magic of papier mache, the room has been decked out like a speakeasy, the refreshments laid out on a very makeshift bar that will not stock alcohol as long as they can prevent it. The whole room is cast with a cool blue light, and a jazz band's been hired to take the stage for an hour before leaving the rest of the evening to the DJ.

It was time to get this party started.

[ She takes her hand with a smile. ]

You having fun?

[The connection is almost a relief, though Nill can't actually feel it.]

Yes. I like dances. Are you?

Having a good time myself. [ She looks over at the crowd for a second. ] Where's your tiny date?

[Nill knew that Kate wasn't... particularly pleased that she'd come with Damian, but there had been no stopping her. It only takes the blonde a few seconds to find Damian, and she points him out.]

He is over there.

[culver]

[Nill rolls her eyes just a little bit, and then quickly scans the crowd. She spots him across the room by the wall, and points him out to Kate.]

[gevurah]

Careful not to let him wander too far off.

[culver]

[She pokes Kate's side, one cheek puffed out in minor annoyance. No, she would keep an eye on Damian. He wasn't going to get into any fights tonight. Hopefully.]

[gevurah]

[ She laughs a bit. ]

Later we'll try to get some pictures of you and him, okay?

[culver]

[Oh. Pictures. Well... actually, she would really like that. She nods firmly.]
